192 students selected for Viettel Digital Talent program

In season 3, Viettel Digital Talent expanded its training area in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in 6 areas - Cloud, Cyber Security, Data Science & AI, Internet of Things, 5G and Software & Data Engineering.

This year, Viettel also accepts candidates who are currently training abroad. In the first 3-month training phase, you can participate remotely (online) and if you complete well, you will have practical opportunities at 9 agencies and units in many diverse fields of Viettel in the next phase. In the first expansion of the target group, Viettel has selected nearly 40 international students studying in 8 different countries including: USA, UK, Australia, France, Russia, Japan, Korea, China. In addition, 45% of candidates participating in this year's program are students who have won national and international awards.

Regarding the training form, in the first phase, students will participate in training and career orientation by leading experts at home and abroad (Australia, USA, Singapore, Germany...) from universities and large technology corporations (Viettel, Google, Shopee, University of Texas Austin...). After 3 months of training, the 100 best students will be selected to directly participate in developing large technology projects at Viettel units.

At the end of the program, the best students will receive scholarships and prizes of up to 65 million VND, become official employees of the Group, and have the opportunity to work in 11 markets that Viettel invests in.

In 2023, Viettel announced to the world the message “Technology with heart”. This is also the philosophy that Viettel wants to inspire students, Viettel’s future talents, about a business that always puts people at the center. A corporation that wants to develop not only in terms of revenue and profit but also in terms of showing responsibility to humanity.

In 2022, Viettel Digital Talent season 2 attracted nearly 1,000 third-year students, 4 majors in information technology (IT) across the country, focusing on five areas: Cloud, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, Information Security , IOT and Marketing.

Throughout the 6 months, students were trained by more than 50 leading experts in cloud computing, machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing, malware and exploits, application system security... from 3 different continents. Interns were directly involved in Viettel's key projects such as deploying Private Cloud infrastructure, Vietnamese speech recognition model or Customer Centric AI system... At the same time, interns were able to debate on creative ideas.

At the end of the program, more than 40 excellent students were officially recruited to work at Viettel, contributing more than 65 new initiatives and ideas to the Group's projects.
