On the occasion of the Lunar New Year of the Snake - 2025, this morning, January 20th, the Quang Tri Provincial Federation of Labor (LĐLĐ) organized the program "Tet Reunion - Spring of Gratitude to the Party". Attending the event were Mr. Dao Manh Hung, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Tri Province; Mr. Hoang Duc Thang, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; and Mr. Nguyen Tran Huy, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council.

Speaking at the program, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Dao Manh Hung, acknowledged and praised the efforts of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Union, the labor unions of districts, towns, and cities, the grassroots labor unions of enterprises, and the sponsoring units in the province for their practical activities in caring for workers during the past year and the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Snake.

On the occasion of the upcoming New Year, the Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province wished all trade union organizations, especially union members and workers, good health and well-being, and encouraged them to continue striving to successfully complete assigned tasks and plans, making positive contributions to the overall success of their agencies, units, and enterprises. He also requested that trade union organizations continue to maintain and promote activities to care for union members and workers in difficult circumstances.

At the event, the Quang Tri Provincial Labor Union awarded 3 "Union Shelter" houses, each worth 50 million VND, to union members and workers who did not have housing; and presented 200 Tet gifts, each worth 1.3 million VND, including 1 million VND in cash and goods, to workers with particularly difficult circumstances, those who suffered serious work accidents, terminal illnesses, or whose relatives were ill for a long time...

These are warm and meaningful Tet gifts, demonstrating the concern of Party committees, government agencies, and trade unions at all levels to share and encourage workers in overcoming some of their difficulties.

Ms. Tran Thi Dieu Nhon, a teacher at Hai Thuong Kindergarten (Hai Lang district), shared: “I myself have a serious illness. Today I am very happy to participate in such a meaningful program, especially to receive a Tet gift from the Provincial Labor Union. My family and I will use this gift wisely during the upcoming Tet holiday.”

Also at the event, the Provincial Labor Union organized an exchange and a raffle with a total prize value of nearly 40 million VND. The prize structure included: 7 consolation prizes, 4 fourth prizes, 3 third prizes, 2 second prizes, 1 first prize, and 1 special prize: a Samsung refrigerator worth 10 million VND.

The grand prize went to Mr. Trinh Van Long, a worker at Minh Hung Quang Tri Joint Stock Company. “I am very happy to have been lucky enough to win the grand prize in the program. With this new refrigerator, my family will replace our old one for better use. Thank you to the leaders of the Provincial Labor Union and the sponsors for bringing us such a warm and practical program,” Mr. Long shared.

At the event, union members and workers enjoyed cheerful cultural performances with themes celebrating the Party and the new spring.

According to Nguyen The Lap, Chairman of the Provincial Labor Union, during the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Snake (2015), the Provincial Labor Union decided to provide 4,000 gift packages worth approximately 3 billion VND to disadvantaged union members and workers. They also organized three "Tet Reunion - Spring Gratitude to the Party" programs at the provincial level to care for about 600 union members in difficult circumstances.
