30 centers qualified for driving test

The Traffic Police Department announced 30 type 1 and type 2 centers qualified to conduct driving tests nationwide, with the most in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.

Ho Chi Minh City has 6 units qualified to test drivers, including: Thanh Cong Driving Test Center, Hoc Mon Driving Test Center, Cu Chi Driving Test Center, Binh Duong Vocational Education - Driving Test Center, Vocational Training, Training and Testing Center of People's Police College II and Royal Driving Test Center.

Hanoi City has 5 units including: Driving Test Center - Automobile Transport Joint Stock Company No. 2, Driving Test Center of Ha An Transport Services Materials Joint Stock Company, Testing Center for granting driving licenses of Hanoi City - Branch of Hanoi Transport Corporation and Duc Thinh Testing and granting driving licenses Center.

Gia Lai has 4 qualified centers, Thai Nguyen and Quang Ninh have 3, the remaining centers are in provinces and cities such as Cao Bang, Phu Tho, Quang Binh, Gia Lai, Quang Ngai, Dak Lak, Dong Nai, An Giang.

All 30 centers are tested for license categories such as A1, A, B automatic, B mechanical, C1. Some are also tested for D2, D, CE...

Class 1 and 2 driving test centers are classified according to regulations on facilities and scope of driving license testing. Class 1 centers have large areas, meeting the requirements for testing and issuing driving licenses for more categories, including trucks and passenger cars.

Type 2 driving test center has a smaller area, meeting the requirements for testing and issuing driving licenses for popular vehicle classes such as motorbikes, cars and light trucks.

From March 1, traffic police nationwide began taking over the tasks of organizing driving tests, issuing driving licenses; changing and re-issuing driving licenses; issuing international driving licenses... from the transport sector.

According to statistics from the authorities, immediately after the transfer of tasks, there were more than 705,105 people nationwide who had completed driver training but had not yet taken the driving test. Of these, 340,483 people were eligible for a car driving license and 364,622 were eligible for a motorcycle license.

From late April to mid-June, more than 10 provinces and cities have reorganized the examination, mainly in provinces and cities with a small number of applications. The two major cities, Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, have reopened the examination.
