On the morning of December 29, the Dak Lak Literature and Arts Association held a conference to summarize the year 2023, awarding prizes for the Prose Writing Contest "Buon Ma Thuot City, Dak Lak - Development Stages" and the Literature and Arts Award 2023.
Attending the conference, on the side of the Central Professional Association, there was writer Cao Duy Son, Vice President of the Vietnam Association of Literature and Arts of Ethnic Minorities, Head of the Jury of the Prose Contest "Buon Ma Thuot City, Dak Lak - Development Stages" in 2023; on the side of the province, there were leaders of a number of relevant departments and branches, a large number of members, authors with award-winning works...

Dak Lak Literature and Arts Association currently manages 234 members, operating in 7 specialized branches and 2 grassroots branches. In 2023, Dak Lak Literature and Arts Association had practical activities to celebrate major holidays, political events of the province, the country, traditional days of literature and arts majors, to strengthen connections and arouse the passion for creation of members.

During the year, the Association organized 2 creative camps, 10 creative practice sessions, 2 training courses; coordinated with provincial departments, branches and sectors to organize creative competitions, promote literary and artistic works, and exhibitions of paintings and photos; served well the propaganda work on key programs, projects and tasks of the province, contributing to bringing literary and artistic works to the public.
Subsidiary associations such as: Photography Association, Literature Association, Fine Arts Association... have many outstanding achievements. This is also the year that Dak Lak Literature and Arts Association organized many competitions, nationwide scale, with the participation of many authors inside and outside the province.

Promoting the achievements, in 2024, Dak Lak Literature and Arts Association will develop programs and plans to organize well the national and provincial anniversaries; continue to set big goals in composing, promoting and disseminating Buon Ma Thuot city, Dak Lak. At the same time, continue to carry out key tasks such as: recruiting new members; fostering ideology and political capacity for cadres and members; creating conditions for members to participate in domestic and international literary and artistic competitions and programs...

At the program, Dak Lak Literature and Arts Association organized the admission of new members; awarded Certificates of Merit to collectives and individuals who actively contributed to the Association's work; individuals with outstanding achievements in literary and artistic creation at the central and provincial levels; rewarded members with outstanding works on the theme "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style"; awarded 31 Literature and Arts Awards in 2023 including 3 A prizes, 8 B prizes, 8 C prizes, 12 Encouragement prizes to authors...

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee of the Prose Contest “Buon Ma Thuot City, Dak Lak - Development Stages” 2023 (the Contest) awarded prizes to the winning works. The contest was launched by the Dak Lak Literature and Arts Association on February 3, 2023. After nearly 10 months, the Organizing Committee of the contest received 130 works from 86 authors inside and outside the province.

Based on the judges' scores, the Organizing Committee selected 14 works to award prizes, including 1 First Prize, 2 Second Prizes, 4 Third Prizes, 7 Encouragement Prizes, and a number of other secondary prizes. The work "Buon Ma Thuot and I" by writer Truc Hoai (Dak Lak) won First Prize.
