380 students admitted to Hanoi University of Science and Technology

TPO - 9 students who won international Olympic prizes and 371 students who won third prize or higher in national competitions will be directly admitted to Hanoi University of Science and Technology in 2025.

Hanoi University of Science and Technology said on July 8 that this is one of three groups of talented candidates.

According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training , candidates who win third prize or higher in national competitions for excellent students, science and technology, international and regional Olympic team selection exams, and international science and technology competitions will be considered for direct admission. Students can register for a maximum of 3 wishes, suitable for the subjects they won prizes in.

According to the school representative, the number of candidates who won national and international prizes applying to the school is higher than in previous years. In addition, the group with international certificates has also nearly doubled compared to last year.

With talent selection, in addition to direct selection according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training , the school relies on international certificates, capacity profile review combined with interviews.

Previously, on July 2, Hanoi University of Science and Technology announced the talent admission score distribution of more than 4,700 candidates based on certificates and capacity profiles. The average score was 76.48/100. There were 12 candidates who got full 100 points because they had absolute SAT and A-Level certificates with IELTS 8.0-8.5.

If last year, candidates knew the results of this method early, this year they have to register their wishes on the Ministry's common system, waiting for consideration along with other methods.

In 2024, Hanoi University of Science and Technology announced the results of early admission based on talent selection, accounting for about 20% of the total enrollment target.
