Building Tan An commune to develop green and sustainably

In the comprehensive renovation period of Dong Nai province, Tan An commune has emerged as a bright spot at the grassroots level. This land rich in revolutionary tradition is affirming a new step of development with the dual goal of both building a strong and clean Party and developing the economy and society in a green, sustainable and modern direction. This is the political determination of the entire Party Committee, the common aspiration of the entire political system and people of Tan An commune.

Mr. Bui Hoang Quyet, Head of the Front Work Committee of Hamlet 3, Tan An Commune, shared: We always take the criteria of being close to the people as a yardstick. Movements such as Green Sunday, the movement to build great solidarity houses, or the movement to donate land for road construction all originate from the practical needs of the people. Therefore, if the people agree and contribute, everything will be successful. Through that, it can be seen that skillful mass mobilization work is the bridge to bring the Party's policies and guidelines into life, turning resolutions into concrete actions.

Economic development associated with environmental protection

The important highlight in the development strategy of Tan An commune is to link Party building work with the task of green development. Not only focusing on completing economic targets, the commune is also a pioneer in implementing environmental protection programs, building a bright - green - clean - beautiful new rural landscape.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tan, Head of the Front Work Committee of Binh Chanh Hamlet, Tan An Commune, said: Binh Chanh Hamlet clearly determined that building a model residential area must start from the living environment. From mobilizing people to pave sidewalks, plant trees in front of their houses, to installing security cameras, all were responded to by the people. However, this was not imposed but left for people to discuss, people to do, people to check. As a result, the appearance of the hamlet is increasingly spacious, clean and beautiful, security is maintained.

In the green development picture, the mark of Tan An youth is also very clear. The Commune Youth Union has become a vanguard force in the digital transformation process, a task considered a new driving force for sustainable development.

Mr. Nguyen Tan Thi, Secretary of Tan An Commune Youth Union, shared: In the work of the commune's youth force, the Commune Youth Union has organized many activities to support people in completing administrative procedures online, guiding the installation of VNeID application, and using online public services. In addition, the Commune Youth Union has also built a fanpage and electronic information page to propagate policies and laws, contributing to bringing technology closer to rural people. The initiative to digitize information at the General Vo Nguyen Giap Temple right in the locality is also a highlight, demonstrating the creativity, daring to think and daring to do of the youth. This practical action has created historical and cultural values ​​to serve the education of the younger generation.

Not only the youth, the veteran force (CCB) of the commune also plays a core role in building the Party and the political system. With the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers, the CCB members have become shining examples of exemplary spirit, responsibility and dedication.

In Tan An commune, there are 2 entities participating in the OCOP Program (One Commune One Product Program), with 3 products assessed to meet 3-star OCOP standards including: Vinh Tan guava product of Vinh Tam Agricultural - Service - Trade Cooperative; mango smoothie and grapefruit juice products of Canh Dong Vang Company Limited.

Mr. Dao Binh Xuyen, Vice Chairman of the Association of War Veterans in Tan An commune, shared: With the mindset that as long as we have strength, we will continue to contribute, many comrades, despite their old age, still participate in community supervision, grassroots reconciliation, and mobilize their children and grandchildren to comply with the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws. In particular, the Association of War Veterans is always the leading force in movements to maintain security and order, and build cultural life in residential areas. It is the solidarity and companionship of war veterans that have contributed to spreading the revolutionary spirit and strengthening people's trust in the Party's leadership.

Developing organic agriculture

With many advantages in terms of land, climate, key crops and especially a team of dynamic, hard-working, and studious farmers, in recent years, many farmers in Tan An commune have boldly applied high technology in the production of rice, hydroponic vegetables, fruit trees, etc., bringing about clear results. However, production is still fragmented and small-scale, and some application models are not yet synchronized.

Mr. Tran Xuan Hong, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Tan An commune, said: To overcome the above situation, the orientation from now to 2030 will focus on building concentrated production areas applying high technology, forming hydroponic vegetable areas, organic growing areas with traceability; supporting farmers to access smart agriculture, digital transformation in production management, consumption through e-commerce. In addition, the association will promote the establishment of new-style cooperatives, upgrade cooperative groups, create conditions to connect with businesses and banks. In addition, the association will strengthen technical training, recommend expanding green credit, investing in transport infrastructure, irrigation, and electricity to serve production.

Thanks to consensus and comprehensive efforts, Tan An's appearance has changed significantly in recent years. Inter-hamlet roads have been paved; electricity, water, schools, and medical stations have been invested in and upgraded; people's lives have been increasingly improved. In the past 5 years alone, the commune has mobilized tens of billions of VND from socialized resources to build infrastructure, care for social security, and reduce the poverty rate to below 0.5%.

3 KEY TASKS TO BUILD A GREEN AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF TAN AN COMMUNE:

Firstly, focus on building a truly clean and strong Party and political system. Build a contingent of cadres and Party members with qualifications, qualities, mettle, capacity, daring to think and act; with the will and aspiration to contribute. Build a professional, rule-of-law, modern, open and transparent state administration to serve the people.

Second, promote economic restructuring towards increasing the proportion of industry, trade and services; call for investment in industrial zones and clusters in the commune. Focus on mobilizing and effectively using resources to invest in the transport infrastructure system in the area.

Third, gradually improve the living environment, enhance people's quality of life, ensure social security and welfare, associated with promoting the application of science and technology, accelerating the digital transformation process to serve people towards a digital society, digital government and digital economic development.

From Tan An's practice, it can be affirmed that Party building is the foundation and the core for all successes. Without a strong and clean Party organization, it is difficult to mobilize people's strength and synchronously implement green and sustainable development programs. Reality shows that where there are strong Party cells, there is a vibrant movement and people are unanimous. On the contrary, where the grassroots Party organization is weak and lacks cohesion, even if there are good policies, it is difficult to put them into practice.

Entering the 2025-2030 term, Tan An commune sets out the goal of building a strong and clean Party organization, developing a fast, green and sustainable socio-economy, improving people's quality of life, and maintaining national defense and security. To achieve that goal, the commune has identified two breakthroughs: developing transport infrastructure and digital infrastructure; at the same time, focusing on building a team of cadres and party members with capacity and courage to meet new requirements.

Tan An commune is taking steady steps on the new path of development. From a traditional countryside, Tan An has been growing strongly, affirming its position in the innovation process of the province.
