Implementing the Prime Minister 's program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, Tan Uyen district has closely followed the direction of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Steering Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses; and the support of provincial agencies, departments, branches and unions. At the same time, promoting the spirit of solidarity and joint efforts of organizations, businesses and people of all ethnic groups inside and outside the district with the spirit of "whoever has something helps, whoever has merit helps merit, whoever has property helps property, whoever has a lot helps a lot, whoever has little helps a little".
The district also received financial support and thousands of working days from the police, military, union members and association members from the province to the grassroots. By June 13, Tan Uyen district had completed the construction and repair of 469 temporary and dilapidated houses (383 newly built, 86 repaired); 453 houses for poor and near-poor households; 16 houses for policy households.
Many exemplary families who actively contributed to the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses were commended and rewarded by the district.
The district Fatherland Front Committee, together with cadres, civil servants, union members, armed forces and people in communes and towns, spent 5,798 working days helping poor households dismantle old houses, transport materials, dig foundations, build houses... In addition to the support fund according to state regulations, the district mobilized organizations and individuals to support in kind, estimated to be equivalent to about 890 million VND. The people's counterpart fund was nearly 30 billion VND.

Attending and speaking at the Conference, Comrade Ha Trong Hai - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee praised the efforts and results that Tan Uyen district has achieved in eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses. At the same time, he called for support in terms of facilities and materials for the houses that have been handed over; and paid attention to solving the livelihoods of the people after the houses were handed over. Agencies and units implementing the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses for households should do it neatly as far as possible, and continue to review the remaining work to complete...
Comrade Nguyen Thanh Van - Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to collectives with outstanding achievements in eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the district.
On this occasion, the District People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 28 groups, 22 individuals and gifts to 4 exemplary families in eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses.
