Many days of heavy rain caused the Cai Phan Rang riverbank through Phu Nhuan village to erode, stretching about 5km. The most seriously eroded section was 500m long, only about 35m from National Highway 27. Immediately after receiving the information, the leaders of My Son commune mobilized 20 affected households to evacuate to relatives' houses and put up ropes to warn of danger.

After the inspection, the leaders of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee acknowledged the proposal of My Son Commune People's Committee on the investment policy of embankment to ensure long-term safety. In the immediate future, the province will urgently invest in the most seriously eroded section, 500m long. The Commune People's Committee needs to ensure the safety of lives and property of households near the landslide area; proactively respond to landslide-prone areas.

On the same day, My Son Commune Police announced that households living near river banks, streams and low-lying areas showing signs of subsidence must urgently collect necessary belongings and move to a safe place.
People should not stay overnight in dangerous areas; should not go through areas with strong currents or eroding river banks. When discovering cracks in the ground or unusually strong currents, they should immediately report to the local authorities or the Commune Police for timely support.
