On the morning of June 14, authorities were present at the scene of the fire at a 3-story house located in lane 176 Trai Ca (Truong Dinh, Hai Ba Trung, Hanoi) to verify and clarify the cause.
According to the homeowner, there were 6 people in the house at the time of the fire, including his wife and two children, his mother and 2 grandchildren. "I was not home at the time, but when the fire was discovered, everyone in the house escaped and there were no casualties," the homeowner said.

People nearby said that the wife, two children and the homeowner's mother escaped through the stairs to the first floor and shouted for everyone to call the authorities.
"At that time, it was around 4 o'clock, I heard shouting so I turned on the light outside the door and ran out to see. The homeowner's 3 children and the mother had escaped, and the nephew escaped later," said a neighbor.
Another neighbor reported that a young man (the homeowner's nephew - PV) jumped onto the neighbor's roof to escape. Immediately after, this person was taken for a health check.
The homeowner added that the fire is believed to have broken out in their bedroom on the second floor of the three-story house. The house was built more than 20 years ago and is now in disrepair.
In response to information that the house was rented out as a fire broke out, the landlord confirmed that this information was incorrect because there were only his family and two grandchildren living there.

As reported, at around 3:58 a.m. the same day, authorities received a fire report at a house at 9, lane 176, Trai Ca alley, Truong Dinh ward. Hai Ba Trung district police dispatched 2 fire trucks and officers to the scene to put out the fire.
