The Google Year In Search 2024 list, released on December 13th, includes seven key topics: "Most Popular Search Trends," "AI Tools," "Movies," "Travel," "Concerts," "Skills," and "How-to." This list reflects the trends and information that Vietnamese people were most interested in and searched for over the past year.
For the "Tourism" sector, the 10 keywords that Vietnamese people are particularly interested in are Malaysia, Vinh Hy, Hoi An, Con Son Island (Can Tho) , Gia Lai, Europe, Da Lat, Thuy Chau Tourist Area, Da Nang, and Vietnam.
Google notes that the inclusion of eight domestic travel destinations in the "Travel" topic indicates increasing user interest in domestic travel destinations. This is a positive sign, reflecting the growth and development potential of Vietnam's tourism industry.
The destinations sought after by Vietnamese travelers largely boast spectacular natural landscapes and offer many exciting experiences for tourists. Among them, Vinh Hy – one of the four most beautiful bays in Vietnam, located in Vinh Hai commune, Ninh Hai district, Ninh Thuan province – is bordered by the sea on one side and Nui Chua National Park on the other. It features majestic mountains, crystal-clear waters, and abundant seafood.
Popular destinations for both domestic and international tourists, such as Hoi An, Da Lat, and Da Nang, are also included in the list.
Ranked 4th is Con Son Island in Can Tho. This is a community-based tourism model located on a small island in the Hau River, connecting the two provinces of Can Tho and Vinh Long. Here, visitors can explore and experience fruit picking in orchards, enjoy various traditional cakes, watch flying snakehead fish, and more.
For overseas destinations, "travel to Malaysia" and "travel to Europe" are two keywords that made it onto this list, ranking in the top 6 and top 6 search positions respectively.
