The list of schools lowering the admission scores for grade 10 of Hanoi public high schools in 2025 is as follows:

The Department of Education and Training noted that when lowering the admission score, schools are allowed to accept students with the first, second, and third wishes who meet the additional admission requirements. Students who are admitted to the second wish must have an admission score at least 1 point higher than the school's additional admission score; students who are admitted to the third wish must have an admission score at least 2 points higher than the school's additional admission score.
In addition to the 8 schools with lower standards, Phuc Loi High School and Minh Quang High School were recruited to recruit additional students throughout the city, lacking 103 and 63 students respectively, with the condition that candidates failed all public school wishes, had a score of 12 or higher if applying to Minh Quang School, and 16.5 or higher if applying to Phuc Loi School.
Admission for students admitted based on additional benchmark scores will be conducted directly at high schools from 8:00 a.m. on July 19 to 5:00 p.m. on July 22.
For the group of candidates who registered for re-examination, they will receive the results no later than July 28. If they pass, they will start school on July 30.
The 10th grade entrance exam in Hanoi this year took place over two days, June 7-8. This was the most crowded 10th grade exam in the country, with nearly 103,000 candidates participating, completing the three subjects of Math, Literature and Foreign Language (mostly English), to get the score to enter non-specialized public 10th grade. Of which, about 13,000 candidates registered to take the additional specialized subject exam on June 9.
On July 4, the Department announced the benchmark scores of 119 public schools. In the non-specialized group, Yen Hoa High School and Le Quy Don High School (Ha Dong) led with 25.5 points. Following were Viet Duc High School and Phan Dinh Phung High School with 25.25 points.
Among specialized schools, the Chemistry specialized class of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted has the highest score with 42.75/50 points; the English specialized class of this school has the second highest score with 41.15 points.
