9 Vietnamese universities in the world's best university rankings in 2025

Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics ranked highest, in the 501-600 group; followed by Duy Tan University and Ton Duc Thang University.

On October 9, 2024, the Times Higher Education (THE) organization announced the world's best university rankings in 2025. Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics ranked highest, in the 501-600 group. Following were Duy Tan University and Ton Duc Thang University, both ranked in the 601-800 group. Notably, for the first time, Hanoi Medical University and Ho Chi Minh City Open University were ranked, in the 801-1000 and 1201-1500 groups, respectively, higher than Hanoi National University (1201-1500 group), Ho Chi Minh City National University (1501+ group), Hanoi University of Science and Technology (1501+ group).
