This rating is equal to Vietnam's sovereign rating ceiling and is the highest rating among Vietnamese banks rated by Fitch Ratings. Fitch Ratings' rating results are equivalent to Moody's rating results of Ba2. In order to increase transparency and information disclosure, and prepare for equitization, Agribank has hired two international credit rating organizations to simultaneously rate Agribank.
Fitch Ratings emphasizes that Agribank plays an important role in Vietnam's banking system and a strategic role in supporting the development of Vietnam's agriculture with about 14% of the deposit market share and over 40% of the rural agricultural credit market share. Agribank has a large source of mobilized deposits thanks to its strength in its extensive operating network and low concentration risk, with individual deposits always accounting for over 70% of total deposits. The increasing profitability in recent years is the result of restructuring to improve productivity and resolve outstanding issues in asset quality. In addition, revenue from debt recovery after processing has been a significant and stable source of income for the bank in recent years and is expected to continue in the future, Agribank's liquidity is relatively high.
As of September 30, 2023, Agribank's total assets reached more than 1.93 million billion VND, capital mobilized from market I was more than 1.73 million billion VND, outstanding loans to the economy reached more than 1.49 million billion VND, pre-tax profit reached 21,860 billion VND. The operating safety ratios met the regulations.
