At the ceremony, the Department of Culture and Sports announced the Prime Minister's decision to recognize national treasures (batch 13) in 2024 of An Giang province, including: Linh Son Bac Buddha statue head, dating from the 1st - 3rd century and Go Cay Tram jar tomb, dating from the 4th - 5th century, currently kept at the Oc Eo Cultural Relic Management Board of An Giang province. Thus, with the 2 newly recognized treasures, An Giang province now has 10 national treasures of Oc Eo culture.

The national treasure Go Cay Tram jar tomb was discovered during a joint excavation between the Oc Eo Cultural Relic Management Board, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City, the Daehan Institute for Cultural Heritage Research, and the Faculty of Humanities, Seoul National University (Korea). The excavation was conducted from December 26, 2018 to January 22, 2019, in 4 excavation pits, with a total area of ​​85m².

At excavation pit number 2, the jar tomb relic was discovered lying directly on a flat surface - at the bottom of cultural layer 1, dug down to cultural layer 2 (the layer with wooden column holes and ceramic artifacts typical of the early Oc Eo period).

The national treasure Linh Son Bac Buddha Head Statue was discovered during the excavation at Linh Son Bac relic site (Oc Eo - Ba The Relic Site), part of the Project "Research on Oc Eo - Ba The relic site, Pagoda Foundation (Southern Oc Eo culture)" phase 2017 - 2020.

The artifact is a terracotta Buddha head statue, depicting the image of Buddha, with a five-headed Naga snake arch spreading behind to form a canopy above the head - a typical symbol in Indian-influenced Buddhist art.

Representative of Vietnam Records Institute presented the decision to establish Vietnam record on Oc Eo culture.

At the ceremony, the representative of the Vietnam Records Institute announced the decision to establish a Vietnamese record for Oc Eo culture with 3 records, including: The unit that propagated, mobilized and received the largest number of artifacts from the Oc Eo culture donated by the people to serve research, conservation and public needs for sightseeing and exhibition; The Oc Eo Culture Exhibition House - the place to display and preserve the most Phu Nam coins from the Oc Eo culture found through excavation and donated by the people; The unit that preserves and preserves two wooden paddles, shaped like Bodhi leaves, belonging to the Oc Eo culture, found through excavation for the first time in Vietnam.

Speaking at the ceremony, Director of the Oc Eo Cultural Relic Management Board of An Giang province Nguyen Van Nhien affirmed that our Party and State pay special attention to preserving, researching and promoting the value of Oc Eo heritage. Currently, An Giang province and domestic and foreign scientific agencies are actively completing the dossier, with the goal of: Submitting the official dossier before February 1, 2026; striving to register as a World Cultural Heritage by 2027.

The Oc Eo Cultural Relic Management Board signed a cooperation agreement on promoting Oc Eo culture for the period 2025 - 2030 with An Giang Newspaper and Radio - Television Station.
