On November 28, the Steering Committee for Anti-Smuggling, Trade Fraud and Counterfeit Goods of An Giang Province (Steering Committee 389/AG) organized the centralized destruction of more than 383,000 packs of smuggled foreign cigarettes in the second phase of 2025.

More than 383,000 cigarette packs were destroyed this time by the Provincial Market Management Department, the XX Regional Customs Department, the Provincial Police, the Provincial Border Guard Command, and the People's Committee of Tan Chau Ward, who arrested and confiscated them from subjects buying, selling, and transporting smuggled foreign cigarettes.

The centralized destruction of smuggled cigarettes is carried out according to Plan 178/KH-UBND, dated November 7, 2025 of the People's Committee of An Giang province, ensuring proper procedures for handling administrative violation evidence, deterring violations, improving the effectiveness of smuggling prevention and control, contributing to protecting consumer rights and a healthy business environment.
