According to the Social Policy Bank, An Giang branch, by June 30, 2025, the total loan turnover reached 3,104.5 billion VND with 46,598 poor households and other policy beneficiaries accessing preferential capital. The total outstanding loan balance entrusted through organizations and unions was more than 12,817 billion VND, an increase of more than 1,042 billion VND compared to the beginning of the year.
Policy credit capital has contributed positively to sustainable poverty reduction, job creation and socio -economic development in the locality. Of which, more than 24,400 poor households and policy beneficiaries have been supported with loans for production and business; more than 7,600 workers have stable jobs; 137 people have been supported to work abroad for a limited period; 55 people who have completed their prison sentences have had access to capital to reintegrate into the community.
In addition, more than 260 students in difficult circumstances received loans for their studies; more than 1,060 production households and traders in difficult areas received investment for development; more than 9,000 clean water and rural environmental sanitation works were built; 21 customers received loans to build and buy social housing according to Government regulations.

However, according to statistics, the total overdue debt and frozen debt in the province is 335.7 billion VND, accounting for 2.62% of the entrusted debt balance. The overdue debt ratio increased by 0.32% compared to the target, while the frozen debt collection ratio decreased by 5.16%. The province has 1,307 savings and loan groups with overdue debt of over 2%, accounting for more than 20% of the total number of groups. Currently, there are more than 6,000 loan customers who have left their place of residence without a clear address, causing difficulties in debt settlement.
Faced with this situation, the Social Policy Bank, An Giang branch, continues to coordinate with local Party committees, authorities and socio-political organizations to effectively implement Directive 39-CT/TW and the strategy for developing social policy banks until 2030. In particular, focusing on improving credit quality, reviewing borrowers, strengthening the activities of savings and loan groups, checking the use of capital for the right purposes and promoting communication work so that people understand and accompany the policy.

On this occasion, the Social Policy Bank, An Giang branch, the Provincial Farmers' Association, the Provincial Women's Union, the Provincial Veterans' Association and the Provincial Youth Union signed a joint document on the implementation of entrusted loans for poor households and other policy beneficiaries.
