On the night of September 6, 2024, storm No. 3 entered the Gulf of Tonkin, affecting the northern provinces, causing strong winds, heavy rain, and a high risk of flooding in urban areas, low-lying areas, landslides, and flash floods in the midlands and mountainous areas. To ensure the safety of people's lives and property, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Official Dispatch No. 88/CD-TTg dated September 6, 2024 requesting ministries, branches, and localities to focus on responding to storm No. 3 and post-storm floods.
