The Vietnamese women's team has begun training in phase 1 to prepare for the 2023 Women's World Cup taking place next July.
On May 23, at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center ( Hanoi ), the Vietnamese women's team entered the first training session in phase 1, preparing for the 2023 Women's World Cup. Coach Mai Duc Chung instructs his students before the practice session. The gold medal at the recent 32nd SEA Games has helped the female players to have good spirits. After a few days of rest, the first training session of the whole team took place in a happy and comfortable atmosphere. The temperature in Hanoi has decreased compared to previous days, helping the Vietnamese women's team lose less energy when practicing outdoors. Captain Huynh Nhu also joined the team in this meeting. After warming up, the players practice with the ball and divide into teams to compete against each other. Midfielder Thuy Trang comfortably practices on the field. After the 32nd SEA Games, the 34-year-old midfielder said that it was likely the last Games she would participate in. In this training session, many players with minor injuries returned. Defender Chuong Thi Kieu still practiced separately. In phase 1 (from May 22 to June 4), the Vietnamese women's team will practice at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center, before moving to Germany to begin the second training phase.
