[Photo] Special sticky rice festival in ancient village on the banks of the Red River

Báo Nhân dânBáo Nhân dân19/02/2024

The sticky rice trays are shaped into communal house roofs, dikes and vast green lawns, just like the thousand-year-old village on the Red River. According to the elders, Phu Thuong currently has 3 artisans and about 600 families making sticky rice, along with a retail "system" of hundreds of people in the village, bringing the aroma of Phu Thuong sticky rice to every corner of Hanoi. The lifelong sticky rice burden of mothers and sisters not only helps each family in the old Ga village overcome famine, but today Phu Thuong sticky rice also helps people get rich, becoming a commodity of high economic value, bringing benefits to the people and the locality.
