Saka was the target of elimination by the opposing team.

On the evening of April 20th, Arsenal secured a dominant victory against Ipswich at Portman Road, keeping their hopes alive in the Premier League title race for a while longer. However, the Gunners faced a worrying moment concerning star player Saka.

Ipswich defender Leif Davis received a direct red card from referee Chris Kavanagh for a dangerous tackle on Saka in the 32nd minute, causing Arsenal fans to fear Saka had suffered a serious injury.

Arteta admitted that he initially felt worried and angry when he witnessed the dangerous tackle that left Saka limping off the pitch.

"The red card decision was very clear. I haven't seen the replay, only the footage at normal speed, and it was definitely a tackle from behind. I don't think it was intentional, but it was very dangerous because Saka couldn't react or see the opponent coming," Arteta emphasized.

The Arsenal manager later said he was relieved when the medical team confirmed Saka's injury was "not too serious". The player hopes to be available for the first leg of the Champions League semi-final against Paris Saint-Germain next week.

The English winger, who had just returned from a three-month injury layoff, continued to play until the start of the second half against Ipswich Town, before Arsenal substituted Saka early. Arteta said: "Saka was in pain but it wasn't serious, which is a positive sign."
