At the Open Innovation Day - OID 2025 (held on October 25th and 26th at Quang Trung Software Park, Ho Chi Minh City), three startups, Brain Life, Vizion, and Easy AI, presented solutions applying artificial intelligence (AI) to serve people more effectively.
Despite their different starting points, they share a common goal: to create safe , transparent technology that benefits the community.
Distraction detection and danger alert device.
Start-up Brain Life delves into digital biotechnology, developing a head-worn device that enhances concentration by recording and analyzing brainwaves.
This product measures neural signals, detects signs of distraction, and sends alerts before accidents or operational errors occur. It is expected to be a particularly useful solution for drivers or workers in hazardous environments.

"In testing the states of Relaxation, Free Rest, and Concentration, we simultaneously measured the same states in the same person using the Brain-Life device and compared them with EEG signals from the Natus machine used in clinical diagnosis" - MSc. Dr. Bui Diem Khue - University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Ho Chi Minh City, Deputy Secretary General of the Vietnam Sleep Medicine Association
Beyond improving work performance, the device also aims to improve mental health. When it detects user stress, the application suggests listening to music, meditating, or using specialized sounds to relax the brain. According to Mr. Ha Huy Khanh, production manager of Brain Life, "the device is non-invasive; it only reads electroencephalogram (EEG) data without any negative effects."
According to Mr. Khanh, the device's reliability has been verified by the Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy, with results equivalent to the imported Natus medical device worth $60,000.
Brain Life is aiming for ISO 13485 certification and is preparing for commercialization in 2026 at a price of approximately 4 million VND. The longer-term vision is to apply AI to this wearable device to predict depression, stroke, and emotional disorders, paving the way for "made in Vietnam" mental health care technology.
AI respects user data.
While Brain Life aims to support the human brain, the startup Vizion chooses to apply computer vision technology to the retail and logistics industries.
According to Huynh Trong Nghia, customer account manager at Vizion, their software leverages computer vision to help retail chains better understand customer behavior.

Intelligent camera systems simulate the movement patterns, viewing angles, and stopping points of customers within the supermarket, helping businesses arrange products more efficiently and detect anomalies such as fraudulent behavior.
The strength of the solution that Vizion considers its "selling point" is its privacy protection: the AI does not record faces but only stores skeletal data (skeleton mapping).
As a result, customer information is completely anonymized, complying with Decree 13 on the protection of personal data. The company also develops its own domestic AI core, operating independently on customer servers to ensure information security.
With a "no initial investment" business model, Vizion generates profits through subscription fees or profit-sharing based on performance. The product is currently being rolled out to Australian customers and is expected to expand domestically by mid-2026.

Unlike Vizion's approach, Easy AI focuses on e-commerce with a chatbot system that automates sales and customer service.
The difference lies in the ability to standardize and personalize multi-channel data from Zalo, Shopee, websites, and store cameras, enabling AI to accurately respond based on the content provided by businesses.
Ms. Nguyen Huynh Thao Ngan, a content specialist at the company, said that the chatbot developed by Easy AI can filter information and automatically identify complex questions to forward to staff. Easy AI has now been deployed for The Gioi Dien May, Dien May Xanh, and Rang Dong, becoming a tool for seamlessly connecting humans and machine learning in customer service environments.
From Brain Life to Vizion and Easy AI, Vietnamese startups are proving that AI is not just artificial intelligence, but also the responsibility of those who create it. They are striving to develop technology while building trust by meeting international standards for quality and data security.
