Northern Vietnam experiences intense cold and frost, while Southern Vietnam has cool mornings.

According to the National Center for Meteorological and Hydrological Forecasting, on January 12th, the weather across the country continued to be affected by a strong cold front, causing deep cold in the North and increasing strong winds and high waves in many sea areas.

Northern Vietnam experiences severe cold weather.

In Northern Vietnam and North Central Vietnam, there will be no rain at night, with scattered fog and light mist in the early morning, and sunny weather during the day. It will be cold at night and in the early morning, with some mountainous and hilly areas in Northern Vietnam experiencing severe cold.

In mountainous areas, people need to be especially wary of frost and ice, which can affect crops, livestock, and health.

The area from Quang Tri to Da Nang City and the eastern part of the provinces from Quang Ngai to Gia Lai will experience scattered showers; the northern part of this area will be cold at night and early morning. In the eastern part of the North East Sea, the sea area from Gia Lai to Ca Mau , and the western part of the South East Sea (including the western part of the Truong Sa archipelago), there will be northeasterly winds of force 6, gusting to force 7-8; rough seas; and waves generally 2-4m high.

In Northern Vietnam and North Central Vietnam, scattered fog and light mist will appear in the early morning, followed by sunny weather during the day.

Throughout the day and night of January 13th, strong winds and high waves will continue over the northeastern part of the North East Sea, the sea area from Khanh Hoa to Ca Mau, and the western part of the South East Sea (including the sea area west of Truong Sa). Northeast winds will be strong, reaching level 6, gusting to levels 7-8; the sea will be rough; and waves will be 2-4 meters high.

The meteorological agency has issued a level 2 warning for natural disaster risks at sea. All vessels operating in the aforementioned areas are at high risk of being affected by strong winds and high waves.

Coastal localities, fishermen, and vessel owners need to closely monitor weather forecasts and proactively take preventive measures to ensure the safety of people and property.

The provinces from Thanh Hoa to Hue will be cloudy, with sunny days and no rain at night in the north, and scattered fog and light mist in the early morning; the south will have scattered rain, with sunny afternoons. North to northwest winds at level 2-3. Cold in the early morning and at night. Lowest temperature 12-15 degrees Celsius. Highest temperature 22-25 degrees Celsius.

The South Central coastal region will be cloudy with sunny days and scattered rain at night. Northeast winds will be at level 3, with gusts of level 6-7 in some areas. The northern areas will be cold in the early morning and at night. Minimum temperatures will be 16-19°C in the north and 20-23°C in the south. Maximum temperatures will be 25-27°C in the north and 27-30°C in the south.

The Central Highlands will be cloudy with sunny days and scattered rain at night. Northeast winds will be at level 2-3. It will be cold in the early morning and at night. The lowest temperature will be 14-17 degrees Celsius, with some areas below 13 degrees Celsius. The highest temperature will be 24-27 degrees Celsius.

Southern Vietnam will be cloudy with sunny days and scattered rain at night. Northeast winds will be at level 2-3. Eastern Vietnam will be cold in the early morning and at night. The lowest temperature will be 21-24 degrees Celsius, with some areas in Eastern Vietnam below 21 degrees Celsius. The highest temperature will be 29-32 degrees Celsius.

Ho Chi Minh City will be cloudy with sunny days and no rain at night. Northeast winds will be at level 2-3. It will be cold in the early morning and at night. The lowest temperature will be 20-22 degrees Celsius. The highest temperature will be 29-31 degrees Celsius.
