Bac Giang: Special information on the implementation of political tasks of the province

On the provincial leadership side, the conference was chaired by comrade Nguyen Van Gau, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and comrade Nguyen Thi Huong, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council. Also attending were comrades members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee; Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission; Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, comrade Nguyen Thi Huong informed the delegates about the results of the work of streamlining the organizational apparatus; reorganizing administrative units at the provincial and communal levels and the socio -economic situation of the province in the first 6 months of the year. Accordingly, the province has focused on streamlining the organizational apparatus in the spirit of "running and lining up at the same time" to ensure continuity and smoothness in administrative activities, not letting the streamlining affect the quality of service to the people.

The team preparing documents for the Provincial Party Congress after the merger has completed the draft Political Report of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee (after the merger) for the second time and sent it to members for comments to ensure full acceptance of the guiding viewpoints, goals, tasks, and solutions stated in the draft documents submitted to the 14th National Congress of the Party, the Resolutions, and directive documents of the Central Committee.

The Draft Report is feasible, ensures quality, vision, is concise, easy to understand, easy to remember, easy to do and easy to check, can be implemented immediately after completion, to be submitted to the new Standing Committee of Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee at the meeting in July 2025.

Regarding the socio-economic situation of the province in the first 6 months of the year, it has been confirmed that Bac Giang continues to recover strongly, achieving many important results. Economic growth exceeded the expected scenario, estimated at 14.04%; import-export value maintained a fairly high growth rate in the context of being affected by the global trade war. State budget revenue reached 16,980 billion VND, up 78.2% over the same period, equal to 93.6% of the estimate.

The cultural and social sectors have been constantly developing; the quality of education continues to affirm its leading position in the country. Social security work has been effectively implemented. Employment and livelihoods for the people continue to be given attention and promoted. The program "Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses" has been vigorously implemented and basically completed as planned throughout the province.

Administrative reform, administrative unit arrangement and digital transformation are promoted. The 2024 Provincial Competitiveness Index maintains the group of leading provinces nationwide. Local defense and military work is strengthened; political security and social order and safety are ensured...

At the conference, delegates expressed their excitement at the results the province has achieved in recent times. At the same time, they expressed their hope that after the merger, the provincial leaders will continue to maintain the tradition of solidarity and unity, building a new province that is increasingly developed. There will be calculations and balances on the potential and strengths of each region to determine major goals and orientations in the new term...

Speaking at the conference, comrade Nguyen Van Gau respectfully thanked the former provincial leaders and former members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee for their attention, sharing, and support for the current Standing Committee and the Provincial Party Secretary during the process of restructuring the apparatus.

He emphasized that in the near future, the two-level government apparatus will come into operation, the province will be larger, there will be more focal points under the Provincial Party Committee, the economic scale of Bac Ninh province after the merger will rise to the 5th place in the country; the Provincial Party Congress is approaching, the workload and great pressure are ahead. Therefore, he hopes to continue to receive the attention, support and regular encouragement of former provincial leaders through the periods.

You are cadres with prestige, position and great influence on cadres, party members and people in the province. The Provincial Party Secretary affirmed that the achievements of Bac Giang province in the past and Bac Ninh province in the future are the convergence and continuation of the results of the stages, with the efforts and dedication of previous generations.

The Provincial Party Secretary said that the Provincial Party Standing Committee respects, inherits and promotes the lessons learned in leadership, direction and management that have been drawn from different stages and periods, especially the lesson of the spirit that in difficult times, we must promote democracy, solidarity, unity, dedication and effort in solving work.
