Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh leaves for the 16th WEF Conference and works in China

Early on the morning of June 24, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh left for the 16th annual Pioneers Meeting of the World Economic Forum held in Tianjin (WEF 16 Tianjin) and worked in China from June 24 to 27, 2025 at the invitation of Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Li Qiang and Chairman and CEO of the World Economic Forum Borge Brende.

The official delegation accompanying Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on the working trip included: Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son; Minister, Head of the Government Office Tran Van Son; Minister of Construction Tran Hong Minh; Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Manh Hung; Deputy Minister of National Defense, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien; Deputy Minister of Public Security, Senior Lieutenant General Le Van Tuyen; Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Hang; Deputy Minister of Finance Nguyen Duc Chi; Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Truong Thanh Hoai; Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Nguyen Quoc Tri; Deputy Minister of Education and Training Hoang Minh Son; Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Doan Thai Son; Vietnamese Ambassador to China Pham Thanh Binh.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh left for China to attend the 16th annual World Economic Forum (WEF) Pioneers Meeting and work.

The 16th WEF Tianjin Conference, taking place from June 24-27, is the second largest and most important event of the year of the World Economic Forum after WEF Davos; it is a forum for countries to discuss visions and long-term solutions to key issues for global economic development.

By attending the Conference, Vietnam continued to affirm its foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, multilateralization, diversification, proactive and active international integration, comprehensively, deeply and effectively; at the same time, it conveyed the message of Vietnam's determination and aspiration to enter a new era of development, the era of national growth.

At the conference events, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the Vietnamese high-ranking delegation will participate, contribute and seek solutions to economic and development issues in the region and the world; share Vietnam's viewpoints, visions and experiences; promote the national image, policies and guidelines of the Party and State; and create and promote cooperation opportunities with governments and businesses.

Also during the working trip, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh had bilateral activities with China to actively and effectively implement the common perceptions of the high-ranking leaders of the two Parties and two countries on substantive cooperation in all fields; bringing the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership and the Vietnam-China Community of Shared Future to a positive and comprehensive development strategic significance.
