Director of the Department of Education and Training of Bac Ninh province Nguyen The Son said: The 2024 - 2025 school year is the year the 2018 General Education Program is implemented in all classes and levels and is also the first year to organize the High School Graduation Exam according to the 2018 General Education Program. In order to effectively deploy and implement the viewpoints and directions on fundamental and comprehensive innovation in education and training; determined to successfully carry out the assigned tasks, the Department of Education and Training of Bac Ninh province has determined the theme of the 2024 - 2025 school year as: "Discipline, responsibility, innovation, creativity, continuing to improve the quality of education and training".

Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Kim Chi awarded Certificates of Merit from the Minister of Education and Training to collectives with outstanding achievements.

Entering the new school year, educational units and institutions in Bac Ninh province focus on deploying and effectively implementing key tasks according to the motto "Taking students as the center and subject of educational activities; teachers as the driving force; school as the support; family as the fulcrum and society as the foundation".

At the same time, promote the work of ideological, political, revolutionary ideal, ethical lifestyle, cultural traditions education in schools; continue to perfect the institution, improve the effectiveness and efficiency of state management of education. Up to now, the whole province has had 365 students participating in Party awareness training classes, of which 66 students have been honored to be admitted to the Party; 17 outstanding people are having their records reviewed, expected to be admitted in the coming time.

Bac Ninh education sector continues to innovate education management and school governance towards increasing autonomy, enhancing accountability, promoting democracy in educational institutions; ensuring fairness in access to education for all subjects. Firmly maintain the results of universalizing preschool education for 5-year-old children, universalizing primary education, universalizing lower secondary education, and eliminating illiteracy.

Notably, in the 2024-2025 school year, the Bac Ninh education and training sector will focus on developing preschool education facilities in industrial parks, creating conditions for workers' children to access quality preschool and general education. Focus on inclusive education methods to meet the right to education of learners for children in special circumstances and people with disabilities.

At the same time, prepare well the conditions for organizing the 2025 High School Graduation Exam to ensure safety, seriousness, and objectivity; strive to maintain the quality of the exam, with the average scores of all subjects in the top 5 nationwide. Prepare well the conditions for participating in the National Excellent Student Exam and participating in the International Olympic Exams in 2025; strive to: maintain the quality and lead the country in the rate of students participating in the National Excellent Student Exam and winning prizes; continue to have students participating and winning prizes at the International Olympic Exams.

Prioritize resources for educational development

Congratulating the achievements of teachers and students of Bac Ninh, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Thi Kim Chi praised the education and training sector of Bac Ninh for excellently completing the tasks of the 2023-2024 school year. She emphasized that the scale of education in Bac Ninh is not large, but the province has achieved very high achievements in a stable education system, worthy of the homeland with a rich tradition of culture, education, and studiousness.

Typical are the results of national, regional and international excellent student competitions, including 3 International Olympic medals; general education results ranked 5th out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide, 13/19 valedictorians nationwide in block C00. In particular, the province has many good models such as friendly schools, active students, building high-quality schools, piloting English models, traffic safety schools...

Appreciating the initiative of the education and training sector of Bac Ninh in implementing in the 2024-2025 school year, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Thi Kim Chi suggested and entrusted 4 key tasks in the new school year to teachers and students of Bac Ninh province so that the Ministry can have more data, information and solutions before expanding nationwide. Including: effectively implementing the general education program to complete professional tasks; building a green - clean - beautiful school model; focusing on training high-quality human resources and making English the second language in schools.

In addition to the achieved results, the leaders of Bac Ninh province frankly acknowledged: Bac Ninh is a province with a rapid mechanical population growth rate, ranking second in the country and increasing household population size creates great pressure on the school infrastructure system. The number of students and the ratio of students/class in some educational institutions in some localities are still high, the shortage of teachers at some levels affects the quality of education. Along with that, the situation of old schools due to being built many years ago is an issue facing the education sector. In particular, the rate of non-public schools is still low (only 7.9%); socialization to develop high-quality non-public school models is still limited...

Sharing the difficulties of the education sector, the leader of Bac Ninh province said that the province always prioritizes all resources for developing education and training, investing in facilities, equipment... to meet the requirements of teaching and learning.

Affirming that education is an important foundation for sustainable development, comrade Vuong Quoc Tuan suggested that Party committees at all levels, authorities and the whole society continue to pay more attention to education and training so that Bac Ninh has more conditions for development and continues to reap many successes in the new school year.
