Bac Ninh: Received 1,114 units of blood during the Voluntary Blood Donation Festival in Hiep Hoa commune

BAC NINH - On October 10, at the hall of the People's Committee of Hiep Hoa commune, the Steering Committee for Blood Donation Movement of Bac Ninh province coordinated with the People's Committee of Hiep Hoa commune to organize the Voluntary Blood Donation Festival in 2025.

With the message “Donating blood to save lives, a noble act”, the festival attracted more than a thousand volunteers who are cadres, party members, youth union members, workers, armed forces and people from communes, agencies, units, schools in the communes: Hiep Hoa, Xuan Cam, Hop Thinh, Hoang Van. Of which, Hiep Hoa commune alone had nearly 400 people registered to donate blood.

In order to facilitate blood donors, at the Commune People's Committee Hall, the Organizing Committee arranged a reception area, registration procedures, screening, blood collection and divided the time frame for each unit. After one morning, 847 people were eligible to donate blood. The Organizing Committee received 1,114 units of blood after conversion, including 671 cases of 350 ml donation; 176 cases of 250 ml donation. The above blood was transferred to the Central Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion to serve the emergency and treatment of patients.

Voluntary blood donation day has become a regular activity full of humanistic meaning, spreading the message "Every drop of blood given, a life saved", contributing to bringing life and joy to patients.
