Bac Tra My launches response to World Environment Day

(QNO) - This morning, June 2, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and the Bac Tra My District Youth Union organized a launching ceremony in response to World Environment Day (June 5).

In 2022, Bac Tra My collected and treated more than 5,360 tons of household waste; 9/13 communes and towns collected and treated household waste in accordance with regulations. At the launching ceremony, the district's Department of Natural Resources and Environment continued to promote the effective implementation of the movement "Join hands to treat waste and fight plastic waste" associated with the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas", effectively maintaining self-management models of environmental protection in villages and hamlets.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, the activity of exchanging waste for trees took place with the participation of many people. The People's Committee of Bac Tra My district also presented 200 trees to the people; commended outstanding groups and individuals in environmental protection activities, especially solutions and initiatives to reduce plastic waste.
