Bac Yen develops economic and social infrastructure

As a mountainous district with many difficulties, Bac Yen has mobilized and effectively used resources, invested in building a synchronous infrastructure system, contributing to promoting socio-economic development, serving production, and improving people's lives.

Mr. Dao Van Nguyen, Chairman of the District People's Committee, said: The district has integrated local budget sources, national target programs and other programs, focusing on investing in essential infrastructure, such as transportation, electricity, water, medical facilities,education ... At the same time, removing difficulties and obstacles in site clearance; strictly implementing state management of investment and construction, ensuring compliance with State laws, attaching individual responsibility in ensuring the progress and quality of projects.

From 2024 to present, Bac Yen district has invested more than 130 billion VND, implementing 27 projects on transportation, domestic water supply, schools, medical stations, rural electricity supply, irrigation and other essential infrastructure works. There are 20 projects completed and put into use, including provincial road 112 upgraded 17 km; 10 inter-village roads, with a total length of 23.3 km have been concreted; a new 2-storey classroom building with 8 rooms has been built; 1 meeting room of the People's Council, People's Committee of the district and 2 commune offices have been upgraded; 2 domestic water works and 2 irrigation works have been put into use to serve irrigation for 40 hectares of production...

The district People's Committee also coordinated with investors to complete the project to renovate and upgrade the road connecting National Highway 37 (Bac Yen district) with National Highway 279D (Muong La district), the section passing through the district. Many strategic roads have been and are being invested in by the district, such as Phieng Ban - Hang Dong; Hua Nhan - Xim Vang - Ta Xua; Bac Yen town's inner-city road, creating a network connecting agricultural commodity production areas and key tourism development areas. In addition, the district has proactively reviewed and adjusted land use planning, creating clean land funds to attract investment in building residential areas, commercial centers, markets and service infrastructure.

Up to now, more than 80% of rural roads have been solidified; 98% of households have electricity, of which 88% use safe electricity; 90% of rural residents have access to clean water; 665/858 classrooms have been solidly built, the rest are semi-solid; 16/16 commune and town health stations have been invested in and built spaciously...

Since the provincial road 112 was upgraded, people in Ta Xua, Lang Cheu, Xim Vang, and Hang Dong communes have had convenient access to travel, exchange, and trade goods, and have become attractive destinations for tourists, opening up a new direction for community tourism development. Mr. Mua A Ho, Chairman of Ta Xua Commune People's Committee, said: Smooth traffic creates favorable conditions for developing agricultural raw material areas, attracting investment, and promoting local tourism development.

In addition, digital infrastructure and e-government in the area have also made great strides. The district has put into operation a smart urban operations center; 100% of communes and towns provide level 3 and 4 public administrative services. The telecommunications network and 4G waves have covered 95% of villages and hamlets, contributing to promoting digital transformation in management and people's lives.
