Hanoi Two green cypress trees over 300 years old belonging to the green cypress population in Ba Vi National Park were recognized as heritage trees on February 27.
Perched precariously on a cliff at an altitude of over 1,000 m, near Vua and Ngoc Hoa peaks, these two trees are identified as the oldest evergreen cypresses in the National Park.

Using the tree trunk analysis method, then counting the number of annual rings on the cutting board according to the radius, it is estimated that one tree is 313 to 373 years old, the other tree is 365 to 434 years old.
The younger tree is growing well, the remaining tree is growing averagely, cracked and hollow at the base.
