Within the framework of the Giap Thin 2024 Launch Ceremony in Chu Lai, Quang Nam Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet attended and congratulated the achievements of the leadership, officers and employees of THACO Group in the past time. The full text of the speech of the Provincial Party Secretary is as follows:
Dear leaders and former leaders of the province,
- Dear Mr. Tran Ba Duong and the leadership team of THACO Group, the team of experts and all officers, employees and workers of THACO in Chu Lai and at the connecting points,
- Ladies and gentlemen,
Today, in the joyful and exciting atmosphere of the first working morning of the New Year of the Dragon, I and the leaders of Quang Nam province are very pleased to attend and witness the launch ceremony of THACO Group. On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and the Provincial leaders, I would like to send to the Board of Directors, experts, all officers, employees and workers of THACO in general and nearly 14,000 workers at THACO Chu Lai Industrial Park in particular my best wishes for the New Year. Wishing you good luck and much success in the launch ceremony of the year.
Dear delegates!
At the year-end summary ceremony, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, on behalf of the Provincial Leaders, also spoke to evaluate and acknowledge the efforts, results and successes of THACO Group in 2023. In 2023, it can be said that with a proactive mindset of change, determination to overcome challenges, with strong internal strength and the spirit of unity, active and creative labor of the leadership, cadres, employees and workers; although some targets have not been achieved as expected, THACO has had many successes in production and business, creating jobs for thousands of workers, actively contributing to the socio -economic development of the province. It can be seen that in all 6 development areas of THACO, there has been quite sustainable growth and development, increasingly expanding in scale, improving in quality, improving the intellectual and technological content in its products and many areas continue to be the leading position in the country.
It can be said that in the past year, THACO has built essential foundations in implementing a multi-industry strategy with key sectors of the country; at the same time, implementing a new development investment cycle at THACO Chu Lai, gradually forming a new generation multi-industry ecosystem, typical not only of Quang Nam but also of the Central Key Economic Zone, connecting with regions in the country and Laos and Cambodia. In particular, I highly appreciate the awareness of creating "true value" in production and business, bringing value to customers and society through quality products and services, crystallized from the creative labor efforts of THACO's leadership and employees.
For Quang Nam, it can be said that the achievements in the province's socio-economic development have had a very important contribution from THACO. On behalf of the provincial leaders, I would like to acknowledge, commend and congratulate the determination, outstanding efforts and achievements of the collective leadership, officers and employees of THACO Group in the past time.
Dear delegates, ladies and gentlemen!
We enter the new year with many new opportunities but also many difficulties and challenges. Internal shortcomings and limitations, together with the general context of the world situation, have posed more severe challenges to macroeconomic stability, financial and monetary stability, public debt, energy security and emerging social security issues. It requires the political system and the business community of the whole country in general, and all levels and sectors of Quang Nam in particular, to prioritize focusing on removing difficulties for businesses, supporting production and business, promoting growth, improving the investment environment and continuing to promote creative startups, actively reforming administration and digital transformation.
The Prime Minister has just approved the Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050; in which it is determined that: Quang Nam will develop industry towards a circular economy, specialization, high automation; rapidly increase the contribution of the processing and manufacturing industry and become the main pillar in the economy. Promote the development of the automobile manufacturing and assembly industry, mechanical, electrical and electronic products; form a national multi-purpose mechanical and automobile center, develop supporting industries associated with logistics services, seaport, airport and railway logistics. Prioritize attracting industries with high knowledge content, automation, high added value, and large budget contributions. These orientations are consistent with THACO's development strategies. And THACO is also a pillar enterprise with great potential to accompany the province in the process of developing and implementing orientations according to the Prime Minister's Planning.
We highly agree with Message No. 19 at the beginning of the year of Giap Thin 2024 of Chairman of the Board of Directors Tran Ba Duong with the strategic orientation and specific goals set for THACO and each member corporation. In the statements of the member corporations, we see that they clearly demonstrate their determination, efforts and set out very specific tasks and criteria so that we can achieve very high expectations. On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, I hope and call on the collective leadership and staff, workers and employees of the Corporation to actively promote internal strength and achieved results, constantly innovate, build appropriate strategies and roadmaps, proactively adapt to unpredictable developments of the economic situation, well implement the set plan goals; continue to expand the scale, continue to develop the model of a multi-industry corporation with high complementarity and integration.
In the context of deep integration, with the strength of production and management capacity and the spirit of community responsibility of a pillar enterprise, I believe that THACO will perform well its role of leading, connecting, and creating conditions for small and medium enterprises in the province to participate in the value chain, build a sustainable business ecosystem right in Chu Lai, take advantage of opportunities from the wave of global supply chain shift to Vietnam to develop Chu Lai Open Economic Zone and Quang Nam to become an attractive investment destination for domestic and foreign partners; contribute together with the province to realize the goal of building and developing Quang Nam to become a fairly developed province of the country and an important growth pole of the Central Highlands region by 2030.
In the next stages of THACO's development, provincial leaders and other sectors and localities pledge to always accompany, support and create the most favorable conditions for the Group to invest and develop production and business.
Once again, I would like to wish all delegates good health, happiness and success; wish the Board of Directors and all officers and employees of THACO Group a new year full of energy, enthusiasm and determination to achieve greater results.
