National Steering Committee for High School Graduation Exam 2025 works in Dong Nai

On the afternoon of June 9, the Inspection Delegation of the National Steering Committee for the 2025 High School Graduation Exam, led by Deputy Ministerof Education and Training Pham Ngoc Thuong, worked with Dong Nai province on preparations for the exam.

In the 2025 high school graduation exam, Dong Nai province has 37,273 candidates registered to take the exam, including nearly 36,740 high school and continuing education candidates; 822 independent candidates.

Compared to the 2024 exam, there has been an increase of nearly 3,000 candidates. With the above number of candidates registering for the exam, Dong Nai has the 5th highest number of candidates registering for the exam in the country.

Dong Nai province has 64 examination sites, with 1,645 examination rooms, located in high schools and continuing education centers. Of these, 62 examination sites are for candidates taking the new 2018 general education program and 2 examination sites are for candidates taking the old 2006 general education program.

To organize the 2025 high school graduation exam, the Steering Committee for the 2025 High School Graduation Exam in Dong Nai province mobilized more than 5,800 officials, teachers, and employees to invigilate the exam, ensuring security, order, and health care for all exam sites.

In addition, the Dong Nai Department of Education and Training also coordinated with Dong Nai Electricity Company to inspect and ensure safe and uninterrupted power supply conditions for examination sites. In addition to grid power supply, each examination site is equipped with a backup generator to prevent problems with the power supply system.

The Department of Education and Training of Dong Nai province is urgently coordinating with local authorities where the examination sites are located to review preparations and develop plans to ensure security and order inside and outside the examination sites. Along with that, 6 inspection teams have been established to inspect facilities, examination room arrangements, and exam paper printing locations.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Pham Ngoc Thuong said that this year, for the first time, the high school graduation exam will be held according to the new 2018 general education program; at the same time, it will be the final exam organized according to the old 2006 general education program, for independent candidates.

This year's exam also takes place in the context that the entire political system is carrying out the work of arranging, streamlining the apparatus, and organizing the operation of the administrative apparatus at the provincial and communal levels.

The above characteristics require localities, including Dong Nai province, to ensure the organization of high school graduation exams in a thoughtful, strict and safe manner.

Deputy Minister Pham Ngoc Thuong noted that the coordination of exam organization needs to be carried out smoothly from top to bottom, following the regulations, procedures, assigned responsibilities and tasks, and promptly handling any unusual situations that may arise.

The inspection team noted that the province should arrange more supervisors in the exam printing and copying department, and strengthen guidance and inspection work to organize the best exam.

The 2025 high school graduation exam will take place on June 26 and 27.
