Dong Kinh Ward Land Clearance Steering Committee deploys tasks for the last 6 months of the year

- On July 21, Comrade Phung Quang Hoi, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of the Dong Kinh Ward Party Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for site clearance (GPMB) of Dong Kinh Ward projects, chaired the July meeting on site clearance work, deploying tasks for the last 6 months of 2025.

According to the report at the conference, after the end of the district-level activities, the organizational apparatus of Dong Kinh ward quickly stabilized. On that basis, the ward received project documents and implemented the land acquisition steps, avoiding project interruptions. Accordingly, the ward has completed the Land Acquisition Steering Committee and assigned tasks to each member of the Party Committee Standing Committee and the Steering Committee in charge of the projects.

Currently, the total number of projects that Dong Kinh ward needs to implement land acquisition and clearance is 29 projects with a total area of over 434 hectares of over 3,700 households, individuals and 52 affected organizations. Accumulated to the end of 2024, the area that has implemented land acquisition and clearance is over 200 hectares. In addition, in the first 6 months of 2025, the ward has handed over more than 84 hectares of land to 131 households to implement 4 projects.

Representative of the investor of the Nam Nguyen Dinh Chieu Resettlement and Residential Area made recommendations at the conference.

At the conference, representatives of relevant units raised difficulties and problems related to land acquisition and clearance for projects such as: there is no specific land price to develop compensation, support and resettlement plans; the work of preparing project documents, detailed planning and design still needs to be adjusted, affecting the progress of land acquisition and clearance; some projects span over periods, so different laws and documents are applied, causing questions for affected cases;...

Representatives of the units also proposed a number of plans to speed up the progress of site clearance and compensation, such as: speeding up the progress of inventory; focusing on completing the relocation of technical infrastructure for a number of projects; the Ward People's Committee soon promulgates land prices as a basis for compensation, support, and resettlement as well as for investors to proactively arrange funds for site clearance and compensation...

Representatives of households in Block 8, Dong Kinh Ward proposed solutions to speed up site clearance progress.

Concluding the conference, the Secretary of the Dong Kinh Ward Party Committee requested: Members of the Steering Committee to promote spirit and responsibility in performing the tasks of site clearance for projects; the Ward People's Committee urgently develops a plan to implement site clearance for each key project; units strengthen propaganda work to affected people to create consensus and hand over the site; the Ward People's Committee synthesizes difficulties and problems beyond the authority level to promptly make recommendations; properly resolve petitions and complaints; urgently establish propaganda and mobilization teams for site clearance to implement...

Relevant units and project investors actively coordinate and regularly exchange information with the Steering Committee leaders to make direct recommendations; investors promptly arrange funds to pay for affected cases; local departments, branches and organizations strengthen coordination with the press and relevant units to contribute to improving the effectiveness of land acquisition and clearance propaganda to the people...
