The program took place at many locations in Tay Ninh province, with activities of visiting, giving gifts, burning incense to commemorate heroes and martyrs and having a meal with Vietnamese Heroic Mothers.
Units visited, gave gifts and organized a gratitude meal at the home of Vietnamese Heroic Mother Le Thi Hai.
In Tan Ninh ward, Major General Ngo Hoai Thu - Deputy Director of the Department of Political Work, Ministry of Public Security and Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union Nguyen Thi Minh Huong together with leaders of the Department of Political Work, Tay Ninh Provincial Police, local authorities and sponsors visited, presented gifts and organized a gratitude meal at the house of Vietnamese Heroic Mother Le Thi Hai, born in 1933.
Mother Le Thi Hai was moved to share her joy when she received the officers, soldiers and representatives of the units who came to visit and had a simple but meaningful meal together. She expressed her deep gratitude to the Party, the State and the People's Public Security Force for always caring for mothers and wives who suffered much pain and loss during the war.
On the same day, in Binh Minh ward, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thi Que - Deputy Head of the Women's Committee of the People's Public Security as Head of the delegation with the Women's Committee of the Political Work Department, Tay Ninh Provincial Public Security and local authorities visited and had a meal of gratitude with Vietnamese Heroic Mother Vo Thi Thanh, born in 1927.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thi Que - Deputy Head of the Women's Committee of the People's Public Security, together with the Women's Committee of the Political Work Department of Tay Ninh Provincial Public Security, and local authorities had dinner with Vietnamese Heroic Mother Vo Thi Thanh.
In Ninh Thanh ward, Lieutenant Colonel Dao Thi Thu Huyen - Deputy Head of the Women's Committee of the People's Public Security led a working delegation with the Women's Committee of the Political Work Department and local authorities to organize a gratitude meal at the house of Vietnamese Heroic Mother Le Thi Mia, born in 1930.
At each destination, the delegation members respectfully burned incense to commemorate the heroes and martyrs - the nation's outstanding sons who fell for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.
Simple meals filled with deep emotions are a sincere expression of gratitude to previous generations, while reminding today's generation to never forget those sacrifices.
The activity “Gratitude Meal – Children Return to Mother” is an opportunity for the officers and soldiers of the People’s Public Security, especially the young generation, to understand more deeply the value of peace and independence. From there, they will love the Fatherland more and continue to make efforts to contribute to the cause of protecting the Fatherland’s security and keeping the people’s lives peaceful.
This is one of many practical and meaningful activities launched by the Ministry of Public Security on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025), contributing to spreading the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source" and "Repaying gratitude"./.
