BDK.VN - On June 27, 2025, the Women's Union of Mo Cay Nam district coordinated with the People's Committee of Huong My commune to organize the handover of "Great Solidarity" houses to 5 disadvantaged households in Huong My commune. It is known that these families had to live in temporary and dilapidated houses. Attending the event were Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Mo Cay Nam district Nguyen Thi Thuy Duong - Secretary of the Party Committee of Huong My commune Nguyen Van Phich. On the sponsor side, there was Deputy Director of BIDV Ben Tre Nguyen Ngoc Diem.

The People's Committee of Huong My commune has awarded the decision to donate "Dai Doan Ket" houses to the families: Ms. Vo Thi Lien, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tao, Mr. Pham Van Sung, Mr. Vo Minh Son, residing in My Trach hamlet and Mr. Doan Thanh Hai, residing in My Duc hamlet, Huong My commune.

Head of the Front Committee of My Trach Hamlet, Cao Van Muoi, said: With the attention of the Mo Cay Nam district government and sponsors, 5 households with housing difficulties started building houses on May 15, 2025. Each house has an area of ​​60 - 70m2. The total construction cost is 430 million VND, of which BIDV Ben Tre sponsored 250 million VND, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district supported 30 million VND, and the rest was contributed by the families. To date, 5 houses have been completed and handed over to the households.

Speaking at the house handover ceremony, Deputy Director of BIDV Ben Tre Nguyen Ngoc Diem shared: We congratulate the families who have received the "Great Unity" houses, hoping that the families will soon overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives. In addition to the political task of providing capital and developing the local economy, BIDV also pays great attention to social security work, demonstrated through activities such as raising funds for shelters for the poor, giving Tet gifts to the poor, providing health insurance cards for poor households and poor students, building gratitude houses, charity houses... In the coming time, BIDV Ben Tre hopes to continue to receive attention and support from local authorities at all levels to successfully complete its political tasks.

On behalf of the leaders of Huong My commune, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee Le Quang Trung expressed his gratitude to the sponsors for providing 5 disadvantaged households with houses to protect them from the sun and rain, contributing to the locality completing the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses.
