The Standing Committee of the Commune Youth Union has promoted propaganda among the people to perform well the tasks of households building new rural areas. The forms of propaganda are diverse, such as directly through the Youth Union branches, self-managed people's groups (the whole commune has 103 groups), propaganda on the Fanpage, Zalo and the commune's radio system. In particular, there are many articles reflecting new, creative and effective ways of doing things, advanced and effective examples in the movement of union members and youth building new rural areas.
The Commune Youth Union launched a campaign for youth branches to register and undertake projects and tasks to contribute to the construction of infrastructure in the commune, such as: mobilizing contributions to build more than 2km of concrete roads; beautifying the environment, installing light bulbs to light up more than 3km of rural roads, presenting national flags, mobilizing gifts for families with meritorious services, and disadvantaged households... with a total cost of tens of millions of VND.
Cadres, union members and youth of Phuoc Long commune actively responded to the Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign in the commune, carrying out many projects such as: repainting the My Thanh hamlet headquarters, visiting and giving gifts to families with meritorious services, organizing a playground and giving gifts to 350 students at Phuoc Long Primary School, holding a "Free Market" to give clothes and gifts to local people, giving gifts and shirts to students in difficult circumstances (worth over 50 million VND).
Phuoc Long Commune Union has implemented 3 skillful mass mobilization models at the district level: "Bright - green - clean - beautiful" model implemented in My Thanh hamlet; "Mobilizing people to perform 15 household tasks" model in Long Thanh hamlet; "Green - clean - beautiful" model in Phuoc My hamlet. The models have been actively responded to by the people, with results that have all met and exceeded the set targets, effectively contributing to the successful construction of the criteria for a new-style rural commune.
According to Deputy Secretary of Phuoc Long Commune Youth Union Vo Ngoc Khanh Tu: Implementing Project No. 06 of the Government, the commune's youth union members have actively coordinated with Viettel network to guide people to install and convert 2G sim to 4G in over 840 cases, supporting people to open cashless accounts in 670 cases. In addition, more than 200 people have been instructed to install and use VNPT SmartCA digital signature, and 325 people have been instructed to install and use the electricity bill notification app of the electricity company. Strongly mobilized benefactors inside and outside the province to support 300m3 of drinking water and water tanks to support people during the drought and salinity season (worth tens of millions of VND).
