Economic - Budget Committee of the Provincial People's Council: Survey of wastewater collection and treatment system projects

The Economic - Budget Committee of the Provincial People's Council surveyed a number of projects.

The delegation visited the Hoa Thanh Urban Wastewater Treatment System Project, Phase 2; Trang Bang Wastewater Collection and Treatment System Project, capacity 10,000m3/day and night, Phase 1 and Phase 2.

The representative of the construction unit of the Hoa Thanh Urban Wastewater Treatment System Project said that most of the wastewater collection pipes of the project are arranged on the sidewalks of the roads, most of the sidewalks are being encroached by people for business purposes, making it difficult to implement the construction; the geological conditions of the construction area are complex and not uniform, most of the deep excavation locations for placing level 1 collection pipes have high groundwater levels, flowing sand, and are very susceptible to landslides, so the construction is slower than planned.

Trang Bang Wastewater Collection and Treatment System Project has completed phase 1; is in the process of completing bidding documents for phase 2.

At the survey, members of the Economic - Budget Committee of the Provincial People's Council highly appreciated the results of the implementation of the projects. When completed, they will meet the requirements of wastewater collection and treatment in Trang Bang and Hoa Thanh towns, contributing to solving environmental problems, creating a premise for the two localities to meet the standards of type 3 urban areas by 2030.
