Coffee price today June 22, 2025: Continue to decrease sharply

In less than 6 months, the price of coffee in the domestic market has dropped by nearly 30,000 VND/kg, of which in June alone it has “evaporated” by more than 15,000 VND. Cautious sentiment prevails in the market as sellers increase sharply while buyers are cautious.

The continuous decline in coffee prices reflects increasing selling pressure from farmers, while many purchasing businesses have temporarily suspended transactions to wait for clearer developments in the world market.

Analysts say the market is in a technical correction phase after a series of hot increases in April and May. Without more positive information such as unfavorable weather in major growing areas or a decrease in global inventories, prices are likely to remain low in the short term.

In Vietnam, favorable weather conditions are helping coffee plants grow well. According to trader Icona Cafe, the next crop's output could increase by about 10%, adding to market pressure due to concerns about oversupply.

World coffee prices today

Coffee prices on the world market fell sharply on two exchanges:

Robusta Coffee (London):

Delivery in July 2025: Down 147 USD/ton, to 3,887 USD/ton.

Delivery September 2025: Down 150 USD/ton, to 3,737 USD/ton.

Arabica Coffee (New York):

July 2025 delivery: Down 7.25 cents/lb, to 315.05 cents/lb.

September 2025 delivery: Down 7.85 cents/lb, to 309.95 cents/lb.

The global coffee market continued to be in the red as prices fell sharply at the end of the week, extending the eight-week decline streak. Increased supply pressure from Brazil, Indonesia and positive signals from the crop in Vietnam are causing coffee prices to continuously hit rock bottom.

Robusta coffee prices on the ICE Futures Exchange fell more than 3% in the latest trading session, marking a 13-month low. For the week, prices have fallen 13%. Meanwhile, Arabica coffee prices have also fallen to their lowest level in more than 5 months.

Harvests in Brazil and Indonesia are boosting global supplies amid signs of weakening demand, according to Rabobank. Trader Icona Cafe said favorable weather in Brazil is accelerating the harvest, while a stronger real is causing exporters to limit coffee sales as profits in local currency terms are reduced.
