(Baohatinh.vn) - At the first week of March, third quarter of the 25th year of the Road to Olympia program, Vo Hong Thien - a student of Ha Tinh High School for the Gifted had an excellent performance and almost touched the laurel wreath.

The 25th week of the Road to Olympia competition, week 1, month 3, quarter 3, took place with 4 contestants: Nguyen Gia Hung (Kon Tum High School, Kon Tum province), Nguyen Pham Dang Quang (Le Quy Don High School, Hanoi ), Hoang Cong Nguyen (Thai Binh High School for the Gifted, Thai Binh province) and Vo Hong Thien (Ha Tinh High School for the Gifted, Ha Tinh province).

Right from the "Warm-up" round, Vo Hong Thien created an advantage by answering many questions quickly and accurately, winning 45 points, temporarily leading the race. The remaining 3 contestants were Nguyen Pham Dang Quang (25 points), Hoang Cong Nguyen (20 points) and Nguyen Gia Hung (15 points).

In the "Overcoming Obstacles" competition, Hong Thien continued to maintain a stable performance. Although he was not the one who found the keyword "Drought" - the obstacle's unknown, but with the correct answer to the question: " What are the unusual natural phenomena that can cause damage to people, property, the environment, living conditions and socio -economic activities called? " - the answer "Natural disasters", Hong Thien maintained his position in the leading group with 55 points, only 10 points behind Gia Hung (65 points).

In the "Acceleration" round, Hong Thien showed his ability to make a strong breakthrough with quick reflexes and quick thinking. After 4 questions, the male student from Ha Tinh took the lead with 165 points, opening up a great opportunity to win the final. The remaining contestants' scores were Cong Nguyen with 140 points, Gia Hung with 95 points and Dang Quang with 75 points.

Entering the "Finish" round, Hong Thien chose a package of 3 questions with the same score of 20 points. However, unfortunately, this male student could not take full advantage of the opportunity to increase the gap. Meanwhile, his opponent Hoang Cong Nguyen took full advantage of his turn and scored points from the other contestants' rounds, making a spectacular comeback.

In the end, Vo Hong Thien won the runner-up position with 180 points, only 30 points behind the laurel wreath winner - Hoang Cong Nguyen (Thai Binh High School for the Gifted).

The remaining two candidates, Nguyen Pham Dang Quang (Le Quy Don High School, Hanoi) and Nguyen Gia Hung (Kon Tum High School), both ranked third.

Ha Tinh male student came in second in the competition of week 1, month 3, quarter 3 of the 25th year of Road to Olympia.

Although he did not win, Vo Hong Thien left many impressions with his brave fighting spirit, stable performance and determination throughout his journey to conquer the Olympia peak.

Previously, Vo Hong Thien (grade 11 Math 1) won the laurel wreath of the Olympia contest of Ha Tinh Specialized High School - Peak of Wisdoms 2024 , thereby winning the position to represent the school to attend the Road to Olympia organized by Vietnam Television.
