Last weekend, Tran Bui Bao Khanh excellently won the championship of Road to Olympia with 215 points, becoming the second student of Ams school to own the laurel wreath in the past 25 years. Through the competitions, Khanh showed his intelligence, agility, and answered questions decisively in most areas.
Ms. Tran Thuy Duong, Principal of Hanoi Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, said that before the contest, the school had a plan to foster knowledge for students.

First, the school established an advisory board consisting of experienced teachers in the specialized groups of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Literature, History, Geography, Foreign Languages and Social Knowledge. Each specialized group was assigned by the school to take on the role of content advisor for each area of knowledge, and the teachers would build a set of questions and documents for Bao Khanh.
Teachers at the school have built a training roadmap that includes stages of consolidating basic knowledge, expanding and improving, and practicing simulated exam questions. “In addition to core knowledge, teachers guide Khanh to expand his knowledge, combine theory with practice, experiments and practical applications so that he can understand deeply, remember for a long time and respond quickly in the exam sections,” Ms. Duong revealed.
According to Ms. Duong, teachers also advise and give advice to students about their demeanor, style, body language and how to present themselves in front of the television camera during the competition to create an image of friendly, confident, intelligent students, demonstrating the true spirit of Olympia.
In addition, Hanoi Amsterdam High School for the Gifted also has the OlympiAms Club, which gathers many excellent students who are eager to learn and proactive in seeking knowledge. The school also organizes school-level Olympia competitions to provide students with a challenging environment and strategic orientation for the competitions like the official competition.
Victory is not the destination
When he returned home victorious, teachers and friends at Ams school held a welcoming ceremony for Bao Khanh in joy. The school's board of directors assessed that Khanh was a student in the Biology class but was good at all subjects and especially loved History.
The male student is passionate about reading books, often spends a lot of time exploring and learning more about life through the internet, so he has a deep understanding in many fields.

In addition to studying, I am active in community activities, participating in extracurricular activities such as supporting junior high school students in the 10th grade entrance exam, volunteering at the Science Tornado 2023 Science Exhibition...
Khanh shared that after the contest, she was very moved and grateful for the enthusiastic support of many people, including family, teachers and friends at her beloved Ams school.
The seniors who participated in the contest told Khanh that this year, the Hanoi contest was probably the most grandiose with the participation of 8,000 people. Having won the laurel wreath that he had dreamed of for so long, Khanh said that the victory was very meaningful, the result of his teachers' hard work in training him, and his parents' encouragement and motivation in studying.
Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training Tran The Cuong said that witnessing the student's "mountain climbing" journey had many "heart-stopping" moments, but Khanh was brave and confident to win spectacularly. The Hanoi Department of Education and Training commended and rewarded the students and teachers of the school for teaching and nurturing students to achieve good results.
