Over 650 Athletes Compete in National Junior Badminton Championships

On the evening of June 22, at Tien Son Sports Palace (Da Nang), the Vietnam Badminton Federation in coordination with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City held the opening ceremony of the National Youth Badminton Championship - Donex Competition 2025.

At the opening ceremony, Vice President of the Vietnam Badminton Federation Le Tan Dat said that Badminton is receiving much attention from many localities and units nationwide for investment and development. Particularly in Da Nang , the Badminton movement has spread widely throughout the city, attracting many athletes from many classes and age groups to participate in training and competition.

This year's National Youth Badminton Championship has more than 650 athletes from 40 units, provinces, cities and sectors nationwide participating in the competition. Athletes will compete in 5 age groups from U9 to U17 with the following events: men's singles, women's singles; men's doubles; women's doubles; mixed doubles. The tournament applies a one-time knockout format. With the careful preparation of facilities by the Organizing Committee and the high level of expertise of the athletes, the tournament will dedicate to the audience top-notch, exciting and attractive matches.

After the opening ceremony, athletes competed in women's singles and mixed doubles. The National Youth Badminton Championship will run until June 29.
