Employment – ​​the key to social stability

In the context that the whole country is making efforts to develop the socio-economy and reorganize the apparatus after the administrative unit rearrangement, Binh Thuan still persistently prioritizes core policies on social security, notably job creation, vocational training, support for the disadvantaged and human resource development linked to the labor market.

The results achieved in the first 6 months of 2025 are positive signs showing the correct and synchronous orientation in the direction and administration of the province, contributing to stabilizing people's lives.

Top Goals

Employment creation has always been one of the top goals in the province's sustainable development policies. In the first 6 months of 2025, Binh Thuan province created jobs for 14,000 workers, reaching 58.33% of the annual plan (compared to the target of 24,000 people), an increase of 4.91% over the same period in 2024. This is a remarkable result in the context of the fluctuating labor market and the merger of administrative units is posing many challenges in terms of re-arranging public and residential labor. Of the total number of newly employed workers, up to 4,000 workers have access to loans from the National Employment Fund, with a total amount of VND 233,768 billion, reaching 133.33% of the plan (4,000/3,000). The effective use of financial resources to support job creation has brought about a dual impact: promoting production and developing household economy , while creating sustainable livelihoods for people, especially in rural areas.

Notably, 300 Binh Thuan workers have been sent to work abroad for a limited period, reaching 60% of the annual plan (300/500). This is not only an effective economic solution but also contributes to improving labor skills, expanding vision and career development opportunities for young people. Not only does it create jobs, Binh Thuan province also focuses on vocational training linked to market demand, promoting connections between training institutions and businesses, while creating favorable conditions for foreign workers to work locally in accordance with regulations. The synchronous implementation of vocational training policies is gradually improving the quality of human resources, meeting the requirements of transforming the growth model and adapting to the digital economy. The shift from "training according to supply capacity" to "training according to practical needs" has helped learners have job opportunities immediately after training, while reducing the unemployment rate, especially among rural youth.

Promote social security implementation

In addition to the task of creating livelihoods, the province has also promoted the implementation of social protection policies, supporting poor households and vulnerable groups. In the first 6 months of the year, the province has ensured that 100% of social protection beneficiaries are eligible for support policies according to regulations. This result shows the humanity and effectiveness of the local social security policy system. In addition, programs to support poor households to stabilize and develop production continue to be maintained, contributing to sustainable poverty reduction and limiting relapse into poverty. Child protection, care and gender equality have also been implemented synchronously with many practical models and activities, aiming to build a safe, healthy and fair living environment for all people.

In addition, with the tradition of "remembering the source of water", Binh Thuan province continues to launch and effectively implement the "Repaying gratitude" Fund. As of May 6, 2025, the whole province has mobilized 1,385 billion VND, reaching 23.09% of the yearly plan (6 billion VND). Although this number is not high compared to the whole year's target, this is a valuable resource, demonstrating the affection and responsibility of the whole society towards people with meritorious services. Managing and allocating the fund to the right target - the right subjects will contribute to improving the lives of people with meritorious services, and at the same time, it is a clear demonstration of the connection between the government and the people in the process of building a society of love and compassion.

The overall picture in the first 6 months of 2025 shows that Binh Thuan has been implementing well policies on job creation, vocational training and social security, ensuring harmony between economic growth and social progress. In the coming period, improving the quality of human resources, developing a modern labor market, along with due attention to the disadvantaged will continue to be the driving force for Binh Thuan to firmly step forward in the process of integration and sustainable development.
