On the occasion of the 137th anniversary of President Ton Duc Thang's birthday (August 20, 1888 - August 20, 2025), on the morning of August 20, the delegation of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tuyen Quang province, led by comrade Ha Trung Kien, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tuyen Quang province, held an incense offering ceremony at the Temple of President Ho Chi Minh and revolutionary predecessors, the Memorial House of President Ton Duc Thang in the Tan Trao Special National Relic Complex, Tan Trao commune.

Comrade Ton Duc Thang, alias Thoai Son, was born on August 20, 1888 (the year of the Rat) in My Hoa Hung commune, Long Xuyen city, An Giang province (old). After succeeding President Ho Chi Minh, he became the second President of Vietnam (from September 23, 1969 until his death on March 30, 1980) and was also the last President of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, and the first President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

In Tuyen Quang, during the 9 years of resistance war, he lived and worked in many places and held many important positions such as: Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Lien Viet Front (the predecessor of today's Vietnam Fatherland Front); Inspector General of the Government; Acting Minister of the Interior; Deputy of the National Assembly Standing Committee; Acting Head of the National Assembly Standing Committee; Head of the Central Patriotic Emulation Movement Committee; Honorary President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; President of the Vietnam - Soviet Union Friendship Association.
More than half a century of revolutionary activities full of hardship and danger, including 27 consecutive years as Chairman of the Lien Viet Front and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and more than 10 years as President. With his contributions to the country, in 1958, President Ton Duc Thang was awarded the Gold Star Order and was the first person to be awarded the highest Order of the Party and State.
