The price of SJC gold bars traded at DOJI in Hanoi at the end of the session on January 12 was listed at 73.45 million VND per tael for buying and 75.95 million VND per tael for selling.

The international spot gold price on the Kitco floor at 9:32 p.m. on January 12, Vietnam time was at $2,056.7 per ounce. Meanwhile, the gold price for February 2024 delivery on the Comex New York floor was at $2,059.5 per ounce.

Gold price today, January 13, on the world market increased to over 2,050 USD per ounce. Meanwhile, domestic gold price increased to 76 million VND per tael.

On the stock market , at the end of the trading session on January 11, the VN-Index decreased by 7.52 points to 1,154.7 points. The HNX-Index decreased by 2.39 points to 230.31 points. The UPCoM-Index decreased by 0.66 points to 86.9 points with 127 stocks increasing and 173 stocks decreasing.

The central exchange rate between the Vietnamese Dong and the US dollar announced by the State Bank on January 12 was 23,976 VND/USD, up 28 VND compared to the previous session. The USD price at commercial banks on January 12 increased, closing the session listed around 24,260-24,630 VND/USD (buy - sell).

In line with the trend, the world USD price also increased slightly. The DXY index - measuring the strength of the USD against 6 major currencies - at 9:26 p.m. on January 12, Vietnam time was at 102.34 points, up 0.05% compared to the previous session.

Today, January 13, the price of gasoline and oil in the international market continued to increase as the situation in the Red Sea became tense again. Brent oil price approached the mark of 80 USD per barrel.

In the domestic market, the selling prices of gasoline and oil today, January 13, are applied according to the prices at the management session on the afternoon of January 11 of the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade.

Accordingly, gasoline prices were adjusted up. Of which, RON 95 gasoline price increased to nearly 22,000 VND per liter.

Specifically, the price of E5 RON 92 gasoline increased to VND21,040 per liter. The price of RON 95 gasoline increased to VND21,930 per liter.

Diesel prices increased to 19,700 VND per liter. Kerosene prices increased to 20,330 VND per liter.
