Recently, in Lam Dong province, many press agencies have reported that agencies and units have been slow to respond or have avoided requests to provide information about shortcomings and problems in industries and fields that the public is interested in, causing difficulties in the working process.
Faced with the above reality, Mr. Bui Thang - Head of the Propaganda Department of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee said that in the coming time, it is necessary to recognize the limitations in providing information that have affected information, propaganda, and press activities; from there, there is a lack of information, one-sided or subjective reflection, creating conflicting public opinions, affecting the management, operation, and work resolution of the locality.
In cases where agencies cannot arrange for direct statements to provide information to the press, they should choose timely and appropriate forms of information provision.

Attending the press conference and providing press information must have the right composition (must be the head of the unit or the deputy head authorized by the head to attend).
According to Mr. Bui Thang, in case the press information is compiled and transferred by the Department of Information and Communications of Lam Dong province, the agencies, units and localities must conduct inspection, process and have a written response as soon as possible (no more than 2 days from the date of receipt of the document) to provide official information to the press.
The Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department also requested that units send specialized departments to regularly monitor press information to proactively and promptly handle or report to competent authorities to handle press information reflecting to the responsible industry and field.
At the same time, regularly update and publish information about spokespersons of agencies, units and localities on the electronic information page to widely publicize to the people and press agencies.
The Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department also hopes that press agencies need to select and orient information, always accompany Lam Dong province in propagating policies and strategies to attract and create favorable conditions for domestic and foreign investors and enterprises to invest in Lam Dong, in order to contribute to building a stable local development.
