The Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission conducts a field survey of the innovation model in Vinh Long

On the afternoon of October 22, the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission delegation led by Comrade Huynh Thanh Dat, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Commission, visited and surveyed the innovation model and valuable technological solutions at Cuu Long University.

Also attending were comrade Ho Thi Hoang Yen, Standing Deputy Secretary of Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee; representatives of the Ministry of Science and Technology ; leaders of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of the southern provinces and cities.

At the working session, the delegation listened to reports on practical innovation models and valuable technological solutions applied at Cuu Long University, such as: Circular economic model and innovation in agriculture and technology transfer; Digital transformation work at Cuu Long University; Simulation application in training and effective use of renewable energy at Cuu Long University.

At the meeting, comrade Huynh Thanh Dat, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, emphasized a number of contents, including: how the school combines innovation with training activities, scientific research to form ideas for implementation to results with practical application value; the coordination between the school and businesses, the government and social organizations, thereby showing the role of the parties in bringing knowledge into production and life. Difficulties and obstacles in the process of implementing digital transformation innovation and recommendations of the school to contribute to perfecting the policy mechanism to support innovative scientific research activities in the higher education sector.

According to the Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, regional connectivity and multi-sectoral coordination are promoted, forming the foundation for sustainable and synchronous development. The Mekong Delta region, through initiatives from Vinh Long, Can Tho, Dong Thap and An Giang, has begun to form a “green innovation zone” - linking science and technology with smart agriculture, logistics, renewable energy, environmental protection and climate change adaptation.

The 3-party linkage model of “State, School, Enterprise” is being materialized at Cuu Long University, creating a value chain from training - research - application - production. This can be considered a breakthrough from awareness to regional linkage action, opening up a new development method, developing according to an innovative ecosystem, not according to administrative boundaries.

At the working session, comrade Ho Thi Hoang Yen, Standing Deputy Secretary of Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee, emphasized that the school has accompanied in training human resources for Vinh Long province in particular and the whole country in general.

The Provincial Party Committee, the People's Committee of Vinh Long province and the departments and branches will continue to accompany Cuu Long University in the process of developing and training human resources, actively contributing to science and technology, scientific research and digital transformation to develop Vinh Long province in the coming time.

According to Associate Professor Dr. Luong Minh Cu, Rector of Cuu Long University, Resolution 57 has opened up bottlenecks in breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation, and digital transformation to promote socio-economic development.

This is the basis for Cuu Long University to continue to invest more strongly in promoting science and technology activities, digital transformation, and innovation in the school. Cuu Long University has opened new training majors such as digital art, semiconductor microchip technology, training and granting digital competency certificates for commune and ward officials, etc.
