Press connects and spreads for the goal of green and sustainable development

At the workshop "Connecting smart energy, leading the way to a green future" held in Hai Phong on August 26, speakers shared many messages about green and sustainable economic development.

The workshop brought together representatives of management agencies, businesses, financial institutions, international organizations, associations and media agencies to share and discuss information on eco-industrial parks, the role of corporate culture in the Net Zero roadmap and technological solutions.

Especially smart lighting - to improve energy efficiency, reduce emissions in the context of Vietnam facing the opportunity to become a new production center of Asia amid the wave of green supply chain shift, the event aims to promote sustainable development, reduce operating costs and meet international standards, contributing to realizing the Net Zero 2050 commitment.

Joining forces to achieve green, sustainable goals

Speaking at the workshop, Mr. Le Xuan Trung, deputy editor-in-chief of Tuoi Tre newspaper, said that green transformation is an inevitable global trend, opening up opportunities for Vietnamese industry to make breakthroughs through sustainable development models, saving energy, reducing emissions and aiming for the Net Zero goal by 2050.

According to Mr. Trung, achieving the goal of green and sustainable development is the sum of many factors, in which the press plays an increasingly active role, connecting and spreading, accompanying functional agencies, units, businesses, and domestic and international organizations to act together for the common goal.

In particular, the press, in addition to its function of connecting, sharing, and bringing policies to the community, businesses, and people, also represents their interests, especially in the goal of green and sustainable development.

Mr. Trung gave an example, in a condition where policies did not allow industrial zones to develop wind power or use renewable materials, DEEP C spent 3 years actively applying for mechanisms, piloting wind power and recycling plastic for use in roads and initially achieved remarkable results.

At that time, the press conveyed information, the authorities and governments at all levels took note, and from there had effective policies to exploit potentials and advantages, promoting green, fast and sustainable transformation.

Recently, Tuoi Tre newspaper has launched and developed the "Green Vietnam" page to connect and spread information, set good examples of initiatives and creative ways to protect the environment and develop a green and sustainable economy , which have been recognized and highly appreciated by authorities, the business community and the people.

In parallel, the newspaper also coordinates to organize conferences and seminars behind the newspaper to join in making Vietnam green and developing sustainably.

Solutions for sustainable industry

Specifically, Philips MASTER LEDtube T8 EM/mains LED tube uses 40% recycled plastic, helping to save up to 70% of electricity, reduce more than 1,170kg of CO2 compared to fluorescent lamps and pay back in less than 5 months.

The Interact Industry platform is a connected lighting system that uses sensors and real-time data to optimize energy by up to 50%, improve safety and productivity in factories, and support industrial parks with centralized lighting management.

Solar All-in-One Hybrid light is a lighting solution that integrates LED lights, solar panels, storage batteries and a rechargeable controller, prioritizing solar power but can automatically switch to the grid when needed, ensuring continuous lighting with a capacity of up to 9,000 lumens, suitable for many public and industrial spaces...

From a regional perspective, Mr. Sukanto Aich, Director of Signify Southeast Asia, shared his insights specifically for the Vietnam market:
