Bao Ha aims towards a modern spiritual tourism city

The sacred temple on the banks of the Red River - Bao Ha Temple is the pride of the locality in preserving and promoting the value of relics, contributing to economic and social development. The greatest thing is that in recent years, the central area of the temple relic has received investment and expansion with clean and beautiful landscapes to attract a large number of people and tourists from all over to visit and worship.

The goal of urban expansion, aiming to gradually build Bao Ha into a regional and national spiritual tourism center, focusing on the national historical - cultural relic site of Bao Ha temple, with projects, service works, urban areas and entertainment and spiritual complexes has been set by the province with a scale of 2,500 hectares and forming an urban area connecting the center of Lao Cai province with some provinces such as Lai Chau, Tuyen Quang, Ha Giang ... The planning is also determined to ensure harmony between economic, cultural, social development and national defense and security of the region; forming a new urban area (with functional areas such as administration, spiritual culture, resorts, services, sports parks ...) typical of the Northwest mountainous region, a cultural - sports tourism urban area with its own local features.

Currently, Bao Ha is being developed with 5 main areas. Of which, the administrative center, urban area and sports center of 375.31 hectares is the gateway to Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway via National Highway 279. The central area already exists and continues to be renovated, renovated, invested in, upgraded with existing infrastructure, increasing the appropriate population density. The spiritual tourism area of 2,148.02 hectares in the center is being invested in synchronous construction, associated with ecological landscape and agricultural and forestry production. In addition, the orientation is to connect this area with the sports and fitness park and the national historical relic of Bao Ha temple into an entertainment and sports axis, promoting spiritual tourism.

Mr. Tran Duc Tinh, Deputy Director of the Department of Construction, said: Initially, the investment will prioritize the construction of educational, medical and health care facilities to ensure synchronization with the urban development process. Gradually move towards the synchronous construction of spiritual parks associated with ecological landscapes and agricultural and forestry production of the people. Projects in the area have had detailed construction plans approved and selected for investment in the construction of essential infrastructure systems to promptly serve the local socio-economic development.

The province's goal of urban development is consistent with the National Urban and Rural System Planning, the strategic orientations for socio-economic development of Lao Cai province. In addition, it is to form urban areas with synchronous technical infrastructure and social infrastructure in the direction of green, smart and sustainable growth, maximizing advantages; rationally and effectively using resources; preserving and promoting cultural identity and natural resources; developing urban areas with focus and key points, associated with new rural development, towards civilized urban areas, focusing on improving the quality of life of people, ensuring security, social order and safety and environmental protection. In comparison, Bao Ha urban area is meeting the criteria to become a connecting center in the near future.
