Announcement from the Social Insurance Department of An Giang Province.
On September 15th, the An Giang Provincial Social Insurance agency announced that recently, there have been instances of individuals posing as Social Insurance employees calling retired officials to carry out fraudulent activities. These include requesting them to come to the office to update their information, then using the excuse that the office is crowded and instructing them to contact another person to install unfamiliar software on their phones. The ultimate goal is to steal personal information and bank account details, thereby misappropriating assets.
The provincial social insurance agency advises people to be extremely vigilant, absolutely not access strange links, and not provide OTP codes, bank passwords, or any personal information to anyone.
To ensure safety, citizens should only conduct transactions with the Social Insurance agency through the following official channels: the National Public Service Portal at [website address] ; the Vietnam Social Insurance Public Service Portal ; the VssID application; the An Giang Social Insurance Fanpage ; the Zalo OA: An Giang Provincial Social Insurance; or the Vietnam Social Insurance hotline: 1900 9068.
The An Giang Provincial Social Insurance agency strongly encourages people to actively share this important information with friends, relatives, especially grandparents and parents, so that everyone can be more vigilant and protect their assets.
