Speaking at the ceremony, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper Le Quoc Minh said that the "Net Zero Vietnam" information page is not only a media product, but also an important milestone marking the journey towards the goal of carbon neutrality by 2050. This is identified as one of the longest-term policy communication programs that Nhan Dan Newspaper has ever implemented - lasting 25 years, from now until 2050.

Mr. Le Quoc Minh believes that the special page is not only a channel to convey policies, but also a new way of doing journalism, helping the public access more effectively issues of sustainable development, green economy and climate change.

Acting Minister of Agriculture and Environment Tran Duc Thang shared that Vietnam is strongly transforming its growth model towards a carbon-neutral and circular economy. In that process, the agricultural and environmental sectors play a particularly important role, both as a pillar of the economy and as a foundation for livelihoods, culture and national ecological security.

Many models of organic agricultural production, energy saving, emission reduction have been formed, spread and replicated. In particular, the "green" thinking in production and consumption has gradually become a red thread throughout the industry's policies and actions, laying the foundation for the transformation from "brown agriculture" to "green agriculture". The industry has made many efforts to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of state management in the management, exploitation, use of natural resources and sustainable environmental protection.

Acting Minister Tran Duc Thang also said that the "Net Zero Vietnam" information page will be a knowledge and connection platform to disseminate policies and guidelines, update implementation progress and share typical models and initiatives; a forum for scientists , managers, businesses and people to contribute initiatives on "Economic Development - Environmental Protection - Social Prosperity", propose solutions and act together for the common goal: Sustainable development of the country - for a green Vietnam, in harmony with nature.

The “Net Zero Vietnam” website is a lively and attractive online data journalism channel, providing authentic, scientific and easily accessible information to raise public awareness of the goal of net zero emissions (Net Zero).

The website includes the following contents: Harmful effects of the greenhouse effect caused by humans; measures to reduce emissions and remove CO₂ from the atmosphere; discussion on perfecting the legal framework and policies to support Net Zero; information and promotion of effective models and initiatives to reduce greenhouse gas emissions; difficulties and obstacles in the process of implementing Vietnam's climate goals and solutions to overcome them.

The site includes 8 sections; of which 5 main sections focus on: legal framework, actions and challenges, good model experiences, world trends and pioneering green businesses. In addition, 3 supporting sections include: Net Zero Handbook with easy-to-understand Q&A content; in-depth expert analysis and multimedia products to help raise awareness, promote action and spread the spirit of community responsibility in responding to climate change. This is an important source of information to support businesses, localities and people of Vietnam on the path of sustainable development and effective emission reduction.

A highlight of the site is the interactive game “Your Carbon Footprint”, a tool that allows users to estimate the amount of greenhouse gas emissions each month, based on a set of questions designed according to the greenhouse gas inventory method established by leading experts.
