The contributions of scientists are the decisive factor in creating breakthroughs in the fields of agriculture, farmers, and rural areas. The decision to award the title simultaneously to outstanding farmers and outstanding farmers’ scientists has profound significance, demonstrating the close, dialectical, and mutually supportive link between the ‘two sides’ – scientists and farmers,” Mr. Luong Quoc Doan emphasized.

According to the Organizing Committee, the Outstanding Vietnamese Farmers of 2025 will be selected based on four main criteria groups: agricultural production, business, and services; outstanding achievements in the new rural development movement; outstanding achievements in the nationwide movement to protect national security and sovereignty; and scientific innovations and inventions that have been applied and brought high economic and social benefits…

This year's program is particularly significant as it coincides with the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Farmers' Association (October 14, 1930 - October 14, 2025). Besides honoring exemplary farmers, this year's program also recognizes scientists who have made outstanding contributions to the field of agriculture. This affirms the strong bond between farmers and intellectuals – where science and technology are the "key," and farmers are the central driving force in the journey towards developing a modern, integrated, and sustainable Vietnamese agriculture.
